Mari nodded. "Exactly. Thanks for understanding, Ellis. Don't make me break out the big words." She folded her arms.
Mari nodded. "Exactly. Thanks for understanding, Ellis. Don't make me break out the big words." She folded her arms.
"pot stickers, sushi, and chicken noodle soup… large order but i should be able to get it done soon." conner was quick at work preparing the food but he's moving a little slower due to the wound on his arm.
"OI, no fighting in my… ellis's kitchen!"
Ellis laid back and sighed. "Okay that does feel good…."
"See? Now sleep. It's good for the health." Besides, I care about you. She wrapped Ellen in a hug. "You need to rest too, El."
Ellen hugged her back. It felt good to hug someone. "So do you." she murmured, shifting into a reclined position.
Gaia stared at the table, smiling to herself.
"Not really. I'm exhausted all the time, it's something I'm used too." Mariko cast a look at Ellis, trying to see if he would stop her from leaving. "I should probably go down to the control room," she scrambled for an excuse,"to. . . check the controls. . . and . . . other stuff."
Ellis opened one eye. "Come back soon. I enjoy your company."
"R-right." She looked down, trying to hide her blush, knowing she had no intentions of coming out. Mari'd had enough social interaction today to last her for years.
Ellen dropped deep into a dream, exhausted.
Lights flickered and guns fired. Grace and a 7 year old Ellen ducked into a maintenance closet. Marauders had attacked the freighter vessel they were traveling in. Tears streaked down Ellen's face. "Mom, what happens if they find us? Will they kill us?!" Grace shushed her gently, pulling Ellen into a hug. "No Ellie. They aren't. They aren't going to find us." Screams filled the air, and Ellen could hear the raiders getting closer.
about a half hour passes and the food is done "sorry i couldn't move faster…"
(sounds like Nashki and his sister)
"It's okay Papy!" Gaia smiled at him. "The longer it takes, the better it tastes."
Ellis slowly opened his eyes. "Ugh….I'm gonna be sore…"
Ellen knew how this dream went. She didn't have it often, but it was always bad. She mumbled and turned over.
The marauders passed by the closet. Grace sighed with relief. She got up on a crate and pried a ceiling panel loose. "Up you go." She whispered, lifting Ellen into the ceiling before following. They made their way through the pipes and tech toward the escape pods. Grace listened. No pirates. She dropped down into the room and caught Ellen as she jumped down too. Suddenly black mist appeared. No this wasn't how it went. The demon reared it's ugly head, leering at them.
"we've got 2 spider rolls, 12 sake Nigiri, and 12 Ebi Nigiri, one plate of pot stickers for Gaia, and one bowl of home made chicken noodle soup for… Ellen… aaaaaaaand she's asleep…" conner looked over at ellis "don't worry wounds like that leave cool looking scars."
"Thanks. That's really important to me."
"sorry boss… just trying to make light of this situation."
"Oh, that looks delicious!" Gaia drooled at the plate of pot stickers.
"I know I was just teasing you." Ellis started to get up.
Ellen couldn't move. The demon enveloped her and Grace in black mist. The air stunk of salt. The demon hissed. I'll kill her. Just wait and see. Grace screamed. "NO!" Ellen cried. "Your dead! She's dead! Don't be so sure… The demon snarled, lunging for her throat.
Ellen screamed, thrashing in her sleep.
(I'm being so nice to her right now.)
conner sprinted to ellen's room "HOLY GOD ARE YOU OK?!?!?!?"
(I think she's in Ellis's room.)
Ellen's eyes snapped open. She looked up, bewildered. Still in a haze from the dream she saw Connor and shrieked. A marauder. Here?! She crawled backwards. "GET AWAY FROM ME!"
"hey hey hey, it's me papy, you had a nightmare."
