“Heard the commotion, what happened?” She asked fixing her helmet hair
“Heard the commotion, what happened?” She asked fixing her helmet hair
"Like I said, I hate bullies, I don't care who they are." Lexi replied. "Are you ok?" She asked before turning to the other girl, "None of your buisness."
"I'm fine, I guess." FOR NOW!!!
"So um where are you headed? " Lexi asked her.
"Field hockey practice." Paige gripped her books tightly to her chest.
Lexi checked her watch. "If you don't mind, I can walk you there, if you want of course." Lexi offered.
"I'm fine. It's just too the girls' team room," Paige reasoned.
"Well, lets just do this for your safety and the sake of my consciousness, shall we?"
"Fine," Paige agreed reluctantly. No matter how hard Lexi tried, Savannah and her group would have their way on the pitch.
"Besides they're cowards and they can't really do anything on my social media either, I don't use social media that much." Lexi reasoned with her as they walked to the girl's locker room.
“Well that was rude.” Olivia glared. She texted Paige you sure your alright?_
Paige's phone chimed. Yeah, sorry about Lexi
She tried to not think about the upcoming practice.
"Wait question, are they in your team?" Lexi asked. "Also if you're friends with that girl, I feel sorry for you, no offense, but I just don't like her"
"No," Paige lied smoothly. "And Olivia? Yeah, we're friends, I guess." More like I really really hope.
"You're lying, spill it, that other girl, just……..be careful, especially around her ok?"
"Why?" Paige questioned.
"She does things to show off and she thinks she the boss around here and she's not, did you not see that other girl in gym? She was going to talk to her, but Olivia completely ignored her, it's ridiculous. Also do you want me to stay for your practice?"
"Oh…" Paige thought. "No. No, I'm fine." They had reached the team room entrance. "Um, bye," Paige said, waving to Lexi.
Lexi gave her a wave. "Well see you tomorrow I guess and tell me if they bother you again, either that or it's gonna happen anyway, anyway bye!" Lexi replied before she turned and walked away towards her practice.
Paige entered the locker room and ran right into Savannah. She yelped and tried to back away, but backed right into Helen, who grabbed her shoulders tightly, making her gasp. Tears sprang to her eyes.
"Listen. Paige. Here's the deal. You give us the combination of your locker, and we won't bother you in front of your friends. M'kay?"
"W-W-We aren't supposed to g-give anyone our combination…"
"Do I look like i care?" Savannah sneered.
Paige squeezed her eyes shut. "10-12-36."
Savannah smiled so nicely, that if Paige didn't know her, she might have believed that it was genuine. "Beth, Myra, do it."
Beth and Myra hurried off to do whatever they were instructed to do.
"What are you doing?" Paige strained against Helen's grip.
"Just calm down." She looked pointedly at Helen. "Two minutes."
Helen nodded and Savannah skipped off.
(Two minutes)
Helen released Paige and sprinted off.
(Whats gonna happen huh?)
Paige emerged onto the pitch later, still wearing her school clothes. She paced embarrassedly up to Coach Meg, praying that Lexi hadn't come.
Olivia checked her phone to see Paige’s message she got on her bike and went to the field. She got off her bike and started running.
"Coach Meg?"
"Yes, Paige?"
"Uh, I won't be able to practice today."
"Paige, we have a game tomorrow. You don't practice the day before, you don't party. You know my rule."
"I know, Coach. I'm sorry, Coach. All of my equipment… I forgot it."
Savannah and her crew giggled through their mouthguards.
Coach Meg raised her eyebrows. "You… Forgot your stuff?"
"Yes."
Coach Meg lowered her voice. "Even though you had everything when you came into the locker room this morning? Don't lie to me, Paige. I'm not blind and I'm not deaf. Tell me right now, who was involved?"
Paige looked at her shoes.
