She closes her book and sets it on her lap. She leans her head back on the seat and shuts her eyes.

Milo pulls into the driveway, "Ready to have some ice cream?" He asks happily.

She nods and steps out of the car.

Milo gets out as well and Jason jumps on his back. He chuckles, carrying his little brother.

She looks at them and laughs softly. She moves a piece of hair behind her ear and walks to the building, waiting for them out front.

Milo catches up, letting his brother down at the door. He smiles, opening the door for Saffi.

She walks in and looks at the types of ice cream.

Milo laughs when Jason bounds after Saffi, and Milo joins them, hesitating slightly at the door.

Saffi looks down at Jason and smiles brightly at him. She looks back at Milo and sees him hesitate. "Hey, what's going on?" she asks in a concerned tone.

He shakes his head, opening and shutting his eyes. "Sorry, they're tweaking out a bit." he points to his right eye.

She walks over to him and stands on her toes. She kisses below his eye because that's all she can reach. She takes his hand and squeezes it. "You're going to be alright, I promise," she states.

He nods, smiling a bit. He hums as he looks at the ice-cream, "I'll get a cookie dough blizzard. What about you, love?" he asks. Jason squeals, "Brownie Sunday for me please!"

"I'll have a Butterfinger blizzard," she says.

Milo nods, ordering their ice creams before looking at Jason, "Why don't you go look for a seat?" he asks Jason. Jason nods, saluting and running off.

"You should sit too, I can wait for the ice cream," she tells him.

Milo chuckles softly, "I'm fine right here." He says, smiling as he takes her hand.

"If you say so," she says. She squeezes his hand and leans on his shoulders.

He smiles and waits for their order.

Their ice cream comes and Saffi grabs hers and Jason's. She walks over to the table and sets Jason's down in front of him, sitting across from him.

Jason squeals happily. Milo sits next to Saffi, humming a little bit.

Saffi begins to wat her ice cream. She takes too big of a bite and gets a horrible headache. "Agh!" she says, rubbing her temples.

Milo chuckles, taking small bites, "You okay there, Tesoro?" He asks, chuckling softly.

"I am now…brain freeze," she states. She takes another bite, smaller this time, and laughs softly.

Jason giggles, eating his ice-cream happily. Milo sighs happily, humming under his breath.

(Is it an issue that I already wrote the moment when he becomes fully blind?)
