Paige practiced, giving it her A game the whole night. None of her teammates were impressed. She left later than anyone, like usual, and the coach called her name out as the unlocked her car.
"Paige, is everything ok? I overheard some of the girls saying some nasty things about you. I'm not as deaf as they think I am," Coach Molly said, rolling her eyes. Paige laughed a little, but a heavy weight sank in her heart.
"I'm good, Coach. You know her girls are with drama and everything," Paige said, pretending to shrug it off nonchalantly.
"Alright, if you're really fine…" Coach Molly sounded skeptical, but Paige slid into her car and shut the door. She put the window down.
"I'm totes good, Coach. Promise."
"Ok! If you're really 'totes' good…" Player and coach both laughed.
"Bye, Coach Molly! See you tomorrow!" Paige waved to her coach and drove off.
[AT THE STADIUM]
Paige parked her car and headed in to watch the last bit of Darren's practice when she heard shouts from the bleachers. She rushed in and saw Alek on top of another girl. Paige recognized her as the girl who'd given her and Stormy a weird look in the auditorium. She looked terrified. Paige sprinted over, her shinguards still on and her mouth guard still tucked in her bra strap from hockey practice. Her ponytail was still tight and her eyes were blazing. Her fists were ready.
"Back off, punk, before I send you halfway into next week," she growled. Her glare could kill…
Stormy looked up to see Paige running towards them. She looks really pretty like this. He thought. Wait no stop focus. He mentally punched himself. Then turned around and punched Alek instead, sending pain shooting up his arm.
Luena rolled away from Alek, who had reeled back when Stormy punched him.
Stormy felt a sudden rush of anger and punched Alek again and again and again.
Lloyd stepped back. Though he had gotten battle training, he was never good at fighting. It was one of the reasons he had been captured all those years ago.
Paige stared, shocked, at Stormy. She ran up to the girl, who had gotten away when Stormy punched Alek. "Are you ok?"
Luena nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine." She spotted Stormy beating the ever-loving shit out of Alek. "Mind controlling your boyfriend there?"
Stormy stopped punching Alek and looked shocked at his knuckles which were raw and bloody. He stumbled back and his eyes filled with tears. Who am i? He thought. I don't do this.
Lillian looked at Stormy then Alek, "You beat me to it."
"I….didn't mean..to." Stormy said still staring at his hands.
Lillian walked up to him and gave him a hug, "It's okay. Nothing bad will happen to you, I promise."
Stormy hugged Lillian back quickly then started slowly walking away, wiping his hands on his pants.
Jack ran back to Luena.
"Are you okay?! What did this asshole do?" He asked. Luena sighed.
"It's nothing. Let's just go home." She said, walking away. She glanced at her three saviors, and smiled her gratitude.
She and her brother got into his black truck, and the left.
Lillian smiled back at Luena. She looked at Stormy and smiled at him too. She knew this year was going to go well.
(guys the rain at my house was like plip plop then all of a sudden it was like CHHHHHHHRIehIRHSHSHshHHSHH and its just a little freaky)
Lillian smiled back at Luena. She looked at Stormy and smiled at him too. She knew this year was going to go well.
(are you being sarcastic or not??)
(Sincere, but at the same time we all know it's not.)
Jack glared at Luena.
"Why didn't you use your magic?" Luena stared out the window, uncomfortable.
"I was scared." She admitted, ashamed that she let her emotions control her.
"Lu-lu," Luena groaned at his nickname for her. "You need to practice more. You remember why you started acting, yes?" Luena nodded.
"To better control my emotions, I know. But I'm stage manager this time." Jack sighed.
"Whatever. Just, practice more during rehearsals or whatever, okay? Just don't get caught."
Luena laughed. "How can I get caught? I always make sure my spells are invisible to the human eye!"
When the two siblings got home, Luena went immediately to sleep.
Stormy walked home and crawled into his bed falling asleep almost immediately.
Lillian waited for Darren. She didn't want to go home, not to them…
