Darren looked at Lillian, “Do need a cough drop or something?”
Darren looked at Lillian, “Do need a cough drop or something?”
Lillian nodded. She couldn't say anything due to the coughing.
Darren went out to his car and returned with a bag full of cough drops. He handed them to Lillian.
Lillian plopped one into her mouth. She had stopped coughing, but still felt like shit, "Thanks."
“So. What did you think of Brody?”
Lillian shrugged, "Seems like a good guy. He at least pretended to be interested in the whole theater thing when you brought it up."
Darren laughed a little, “Are you assuming that because he’s a jock that he’s not interested in that kind of thing?”
Lillian smiled, "It's just a little trick I picked up. I can sense when people are pretending."
“He’s always been the most supportive about that kind of thing. I don’t think he’s pretending.”
Lillian thought for a second, "Maybe, but I know what my senses say. Buuuuut I'll trust you."
Darren nodded, “That’s not the safest decision but I’m glad you trust me.” He said with a smile.
“What shall we do with the rest of our day?”
Lillian looked at him and sneezed, "I don't know."
“Yeah. That’s the problem, I don’t know either…”
Lillian laughed, "And we're at a stand still."
“I might have an idea… Maybe” Darren stood up and offered a hand to Lillian.
Lillian smiled and took his hand, "Well what is it?"
Darren pulled her up and kissed her on the cheek, “I can’t tell you, It’ll give the surprise away!”
Lillian pouted, "Please?"
Darren shook his head, “Are you in or not?”
Lillian smiled, "Of course I'm in."
She sneezed again.
Darren smiled and they both got in the car. Soon they pulled in front of the comic book store they had gone to on their first date. Darren looked at Lillian hopefully.
Lillian looked at him curiously before smiling, "Mind telling me why were here?" she thought of something and a twinkle appeared in her eye, "Do you want something?"
Darren smiled at her suggestively.
He got out of the car and opened the door for Lillian.
