Lillian nodded. She grabbed Lloyd's arm, and sneezed, "Come one Lloyd. Let's go home."
"Homeward bound! That's a good song, by the way." Lloyd repeated, walking unsteadily through the door.
Lillian smiled, "You've said that already."
"Have I?" Lloyd looked around the cars. "Uh… where am I supposed to be?"
Lillian nodded and lead Lloyd to Darren's car, "Yep, and just follow me."
Lloyd started singing something quietly to himself. It was a tad slurred, but still intelligible and recognizable as the song "Homeward Bound" that he kept talking about.
Lillian laughed and began singing along with Lloyd.
Darren rolled his eyes but smiled as he drove to Lloyd’s apartment.
"So you do know it! I told you it was a good song." Lloyd lay down in the backseat, touching the bandages again. A few spots of blood had begun seeping through, but he didn't seem to notice.
Lillian laughed, "Yeah."
"What's this place?" Lloyd looked up at the apartment from the window, confused.
“It’s where you live Lloyd” Darren said helping him out of the car.
"Woaaaah… where's my parents? Are they at home?" Lloyd walked to the apartment, absentmindedly unlocking the door.
Lillian stayed quiet, "There away for a while."
Darren looked at Lillian, unsure of what to say.
"Really? Where'd they go?" Lloyd walked into the apartment. "Did they take Nathaniel and Sam with them?"
"They went on a trip," Lillian followed Lloyd in, "And yeah, Nathaniel and Sam went with them."
"That's strange… Sam's a nice boy. He's dead though." Lloyd flopped onto the couch, staring at the ceiling.
"You remember that but not my name!" Lillian sighed, "Why is that not surprising?"
"Because Sam's from my diiiistant paaaast." Lloyd said, trying to sound mysterious. "He is engraved in my memory foreeeeever."
Darren snickered
"Great," Lillian looked to Darren. She needed a break. Her life has been crazy and she needed some alone time. Away from crazy Lloyd.
“You wanna go?” Darren whispered to her.
Lillian nodded, "Alone if you wouldn't mind."
