Lillian stepped back as a child came barreling through. This must be one of Neals' kids, cause he just called Darren uncle, and Cooper most certainly didn't have children.

"Hey buddy!" Darren laughed and picked the child up into his arms despite still being on a weight restriction so he doesn't pass out… oh well. "How are you?"

Lillian laughed and watched Darren carefully, very carefully. Extremely carefully, don't push it boy.

Oh, the boy was pushing it and he knew it by the lightness of his head. That never stopped him before.

I can't do the second one. I'm so sorry about that, but I can do the first. Squeezes you with love and affection

I thought I was over it, I mean, that's what I told myself but someone brought it up again and I ran to my room to cry like a child.

Ryan shook his head with a chuckle as he got into the car.

She climbed in after him, relaxing against the seat. "Is it bad that I'm nervous?"

"Why wouldn't you be nervous, I expected you to be,"

She punched his shoulder playfully. "Rude!" She laughed.

"Well, knowing the people who will be there I mean. I knew you'd be a little less than eager to go,"

It's fine to not be over it quite yet, it's fine if your not over it in like a bajillion years! That's normal and human, things like this can affect people for their entire lifetime. Especially if your close to them.

Lillian was half tempted to steal the child and run. But she knew Darren didn't want that.

(It just makes me feel weak, I guess. I miss talking to him. He was always just… there)

"I'm always less than eager to go to anything that has more than like 3 people at it."

"Not what I meant but preach!" he pulled into the Anderson's driveway.

(Weakness is a strength. Something a lot of people tend to forget, but if you ever need to talk to someone you can talk to me. I'm not the most empathetic at times, but I should be there.)

The boy smiled, "Mom let me join flag football," he giggled, Dominic aspired to be like Darren in every way he could and Darren did nothing to stop it. "Woah! Future football player!" Darren cheered.

She sighed. "Alright, let's do this."

Ryan walked through the door and was immediately attacked by Neal who picked him up and slung him over his shoulder. "LERMAN!"
"Ahh!" Ryan squealed, again defenseless against an Anderson. Especially Neal being the biggest of the three. "Anderson!"

Lillian grinned as she watched the cuteness unfold. Those two seemed to be close, or at least the kid looked up to Darren.

"Who's that?" The 10 year old pointed to Lillian. Darren turned around and smiled, "That's my girlfriend, Lillian. Lillian, this is my nephew, Mr. Dominic Anderson,"

"OoOoooOOoo! You have a girlfriend!"
"Oh shuddup you little twerp," Darren was clearly very happy around his family, at least his brother's and their family.
