"She still wasn't ready to deal with Earth so she was just going to keep me there."

“I caught that,” he nodded slowly, trying to process, “Did you just convince her to let you go?”

"No, she made Cooper promise to look after me."

"Probably, then again you did get high in front of me," Lillian flashed him a mischievous grin.

“That’s not exactly a proud moment for me,”

Lillian giggled, “I know, but I was proud.”

“Oh,” Ryan nodded. “I don’t understand why she thinks she can just take you away. The world threatens us all the time but we aren’t dead yet,”

"Because if I die, Heaven and Hell will be at war. I'm the truce between the two. She has to protect me."

Ryan sighed and placed a kiss to her neck. “I guess I knew that,”

"I'm just scared. I don't want our kids to go through the same torture and stress that I do. I don't want this job put on them."

“I know you’re scared but we just have to…. get through this,”

"What did I do to deserve you?"

“You ask this all the time but I still don’t have an answer. You lionize me too much, more so than anyone else,”

“No more that you did them on your own for your own health.”

“Hm. Fair enough. I stop racing because I thought you were some goody two shoes that would hate me for doing anything wrong. I was wrong,”

“Hella wrong, but hey I guess I just gave off that impression.”

“I thought theater kids were really innocent… oops,”

“Ha nope! Most cast parties had drugs and some kind of alcohol. Your girlie here supplied the alcohol too.”

Darren just shook his head, “You ever been racing?”

“You ask this all the time but I still don’t have an answer. You lionize me too much, more so than anyone else,”

"Isn't that my job though?"

“Nope,” Lillian sighed, “It sounds fun though.”

“We should go, it’s fun as long as you don’t bet your car,”
