"Mmm, good. Cause I'm staying here."
“But welcome to Europe anyway,”

“But welcome to Europe anyway,”
Lillian sighed with them, a new text had came through on her phone from Leo.
Darren looked over at her. “If you choose to call your mom, I’ll be right next to you,”
Lillian gace him a small smile, “I know. But let’s take care of Cooper first.”
“I-I’m Fine,” Cooper didn’t feel like being a burden, he was tired of bothering people. “You don’t have to—“ he paused and sprung upstairs without any notice. Darren sighed. “We can’t just have all three Anderson brothers healthy?”
Lillian sighed as she texted Leo, “There must be some universal law about it.”
“Are you going to do the Skype?”
Lillian nodded, “Yeah, I mean might as well try it.”
“Do you want to do it now?”
"Mmm, good. Cause I'm staying here."
“But welcome to Europe anyway,”
"The time zone change is already ruining my life."

“Sí but you can nap when we get there,”
Lillian paused for a moment before nodding slowly, “Let’s get this over with.”
"Ugh, fineeee." She groaned, lifting her head slightly.
He handed her his laptop. “Have at it,”

“Can we exit the plane now? Your five minutes are over,”
"Yeah, sure, whatever." She chuckled.
He handed her his laptop. “Have at it,”
Lillian got a text saying from Leo saying they were ready on mom’s end. She took a shakey breath opening up the laptop and going to where she could open up the call.
Darren stayed out of sight from the camera but held her hand.
"Yeah, sure, whatever." She chuckled.
He stood up. “We shall do luggage pick up and we shall get the fuck out of here. There’s too many people,”
"I second that without hesitation."
They waited to grab their luggage and then, as promised, got the fuck out of there.
The city was beautiful, just outside the airport.
They got into a shuttle where the man asked in French where they wanted to go, “À la tour s'il vous plaît,” Ryan responded hoping the same as his writer, that he said it correctly. He was too Italian for this bullshit.
"You know, you can have the fluent French girl talk." She chuckled.
“That would be nice.” He knew the language well enough but he hated it.
She laid her head on his shoulder with a smile. "Aren't you glad I speak more than one language?"
Darren stayed out of sight from the camera but held her hand.
Lillian watched as her mother appeared on the screen. She was in prison garb and had a clearly fake smile on her face. She squeezed Darren's hand before saying in a cold tone, "Hello mother."
Lillian hated the way it sounded, but it was the only way to not have her voice shake. Kathryn said in a warm very harsh tone, "Hello Lillian. Are you enjoying your freedom? How's the boy? You know the one that beat me black and blue. You got rid of him didn't you, for beating your mother?"
"I didn't dump him," Lillian responded, "He-"
Her mother cut her off, "Then your a really just a slutty whore."
Lillian froze and one of the guards started speaking to Kathryn before she was pulled away from the screen and the call ended. Lillian was still staring at the empty black screen.
