A group of amateur science majors are tasked with saving the world. The catch? A mysterious boy from the "future" appears in their makeshift lab and doesn't know how to stop the bad future from happening –only that it needs to be stopped. Based loosely off of the concept of world lines from the anime Steins;Gate (if you've never heard of it, you're good!). Basically, the scientists create mental time travel so that they can change the future. They can only time travel backwards, never forwards.They don't physically time travel, but they send their consciousness back into their previous selves. Just a quick note, even if your character dies and they time travel back in time to stop it, everyone retains memories of that instance. So your character would remember dying. My character will be the boy from the future so that the plot keeps moving along, and just in case I'm being super confusing right now, my character can explain more.

Setting: Set in 2018 New York City in a low-budget lab. All of the physicists already know each other unless you would prefer your character not to know everyone else. Only human characters, and since its NYC, be as diverse as possible! We need guys too, so don't all roleplay as girls. Age range is 18-23 (college age).

Rules: Keep the swearing PG-13, censoring sh*t, etc. Absolutely no real-life hate, homophobia, racism, etc. No powers. Don't be afraid to kill your character!! People shouldn't kill your character without permission, but letting your character die is fun because we get to go back in time and figure out how to rescue you. Be creative! The possibilities, just like the world lines, are endless!

Skills: Knows a few languages (English, Swedish, ASL, and French), good at fixing things (however he does live by the term "Hit it 'til it's fixed."), sharpshooting

Backstory: Idk, Her family lives in NYC. Her dad died when she was 3, and her mom has been rising her and her sister with the help of some friends.
Skills: Kendo, parkour, computer programing and hacking, tech in general.

Appearance: Corkscrew dark curls that are shoulder length and fairly messy. Grayish doe eyes and a sympathetic half-smile. Medium skin with reddish undertones. Tall and skinny, almost bony, but stronger than he looks. His face typically looks very hostile even if he doesn't mean it to.
Personality: Mitsig is very, very shy. He doesn't speak that much, but he's a great listener. He has ASD, which manifests in his lack of social ability, his stutter that is especially apparent when emotional, his fear of being touched. He also stims using a ring his mother gave him and picks at his nails/skin around his nails often. Once he is someone's friend, he is loyal, compassionate, wise beyond his years, brave, and excitable.
Backstory: Born in 2050. Seems to have experienced some type of trauma. More to be revealed.
Skills: Fast, stronger than he looks, a great fighter for his age/size.
Other: Wears a simple metal ring around his middle finger. Loves bunnies.
