"That's settled. I'm going to look for a phone."
"That's settled. I'm going to look for a phone."
“Have fun. I’m gonna go steal a car. Anyone wanna come?”
Esme made her way to the payphone near the front of the building, expertly blending into the shadows, and popped the change in.
"I'll go," Talia said, a small smile on her face, 'Let's get going."
Sebastian frowned, looking her up and down. “How old are you?”
"Age doesn't matter when you're an escaped convict." Tempest gave him a challenging stare.
((ha, trUE
Jordan was very confused now turning around on the spot
Sebastian stared right back. “Yes it does. First of all, we were in juvenile hall, not prison. There’s a difference. Second of all, just because we all ended up in the same place, doesn’t mean we’re the same age mentally. And I wasn’t gonna not let her come, I was just asking, so hop off.”
Tempest turned to Jordan, ignoring Sebastian. "Ya look a little lost there, buddy."
"Yeah. Who do I follow? If anyone?"
"I don't know. All I'm doing is standing here and hoping they pick a car big enough for all of us."
"Ah ok. So just wait. Alright. Got it." He crouches down and picks at the dirt
Isaac took a seat near Jordan. "I'll just wait here too. I'm not so good at stealing."
"I went here for 'stealing'."
“So we might be splitting up?”
"It'd be better for us to go get a car, and then pick up Esme," Arme said, crossing her arms. "A van is probably what we need, to fit all of us." Splitting up was a baaad idea; anyone could get captured at any moment and the rest of the group would be clueless.
“Awesome. I’ll see what I can do.” Sebastian looked at Talia. “Let’s go.”
"Just remember," Tempest called, "There are seven (or eight) of us."
“I’ll wait here with the others. Make sure not to be seen and get in and out as quickly as possible,” As much as she hated being split up, it was necessary for this operation to work. In a rare moment of humor, she saluted at the two. “Good luck,” she said, a small smile on her face.
"Try to find one of those fifteen passenger vans. Or maybe a minivan or something. No need for it to be flashy." Isaac said, standing up.
"No windows, if you can. Otherwise, we're going to haveta cover the windows with newspapers. That'll look very suspicious, ya know."
Talia nodded, "Also for your information Sebastian, I'm fourteen, but that's never stopped me from doing anything yet." She smiled thankfully at Tempest, happy that someone had stood up for her.
Tempest winked at Talia.
Jordan was watching this silently and with a judgy face
