Here's the concept:
A prince(ss) has been betrothed to the prince(ss)of the neighboring country and these royal children absolutely despise each other. Unfortunately, their parents need this alliance and they are forced to get married and then honeymoon (are forced to get along together) in a secluded country manor. Things do not go well from there.

Here's my character:
Name: Cerulean Dristi
Age: 24
Race: Selkie
Appearance: Ru is very pale, skin tinted with a light grey hue. His naturally brown hair is dyed a bright electric blue, only the barest hints of roots showing. His eyes are a matching shade., bugging just slightly out of his head. His hair is just long enough to curl at the ends, and often flops into his eyes. He's a slight boy, with almost no muscle mass or fat. Several ancient runes are drawn onto his neck in dark black ink.
Personality: Ru is the kind of person who gets way too invested in things and tries to be a chilled out as possible so he doesn't freak people out. He often experiences childlike wonder at the sight of new things and has had a lifelong passion for learning. He likes cracking jokes and making people laugh because he likes feeling important to people. He doesn't think highly of himself and puts almost everyone above him in any standard. He does his best to keep people around by being supportive and fervently interesting but always feels like he's faking in some way. He's at his happiest when he feels like he can just be himself around someone.
Likes: Learning new languages, meeting new people, throwing parties, going to parties, swimming, the ocean, aquariums, humidity, really foggy days, aquariums
Dislikes: Temperature extremes, making people angry, having to plan things out, math, seeing people in pain, becoming desensitized to things, blood

Oh yeah, just to straighten out the few questions I've encountered:

  • Yes, I do intend for these two people to fall in love. I've been springing for an enemies to lovers type storyline where they start off hating each other but get to know more and more about one another until they fall in love
  • You can play a boy or a girl, I don't give 2 shits
  • I'd like for you to give replies with at least 2 decently long sentences. Good grammar is heavily encouraged.
  • I edit my posts often because once I've finished them I read back over them and find all the things I don't like. If a post changes slightly, it's just me being finicky with my words.

Hey, @DANGER NOODLE I can give you another thread. As I said, I'm doing this with all my characters so I'll be running this a whole damn lot.

Name: Ariana "Aria" Hearthfire
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Race: Shade (Will be explained in the "Other" section)
Appearance: 5 feet tall, with long, wavy brown hair, grey eyes, and snakelike Celtic tattoos ink black ink on her arms and torso, fair skin, a rounded face, quite attractive.
Personality: Witty, with a rather sarcastic sense of humor, is very inquisitive and doesn't worry much about what she says and whether or not it offends people. Is opposed to the idea of marriage, she prefers flings to lifelong commitments as she isn't very good at commuting herself to one person for long periods of time.
Likes: The sea, being alone, stars.
Dislikes: The harmonica, pickles, annoying people.
Other: Okay, so a Shade is someone who basically has a spirit animal, as well as possessing the abilities of said animal and being able to transform into a giant version of it. Their swirling tattoos on the arms and torso generally give away what they are, but Shades are feared for more than just their shapeshifting. They can sic their magical pet on anyone they choose, the creature can go anywhere, and will never give up until the person intended to be killed is killed. The way you can tell a Shade has marked you for death is a black spot on your palm that gradually gets darker as your time limit until death runs out. Aria's Shade Creature happens to be a large raven.

Okay, bad character, I know, but bear with me please?

She sounds really cool and I'm totally ready to do this. Would you like to put up a starter or should I?

Deleted user

Can you? Also, I was thinking that my character would kinda be the main bargaining tool, they never really agreed, but maybe yours was okay with it or didn't really care either way? Idk, not trying to control characters, just figuring out how we'll approach this.

Deleted user

Cool! Let's settle this plot stuff first then. I feel like Ru (Nickname) would kind of know about it and not really be okay with it but still let it happen because he loves and trusts his parents.

(Also: Starter. Here we go!)

Ru carefully cut a slice of cake, hoping Ariana would be…sick, or something. He was too nervous to come up with a complex reason for her to be gone because he had to propose tonight. Tonight! And he didn't even like her. She was kind of a dick. But his parents had assured him that it was necessary, so here he was, ring in his pocket and fear in his heart. He drifted across the floor, food in hand, half-heartedly searching for his unwitting fiancee.

Aria surveyed the room with contempt. There was that Cerulean fellow, the one that her parents wanted to sell Aria off to. She crossed her arms, then uncrossed them, adjusting the uncomfortable corset of her dress. Honestly, Aria would never agree to any marriage. Anyone who wanted that would have to drag her kicking and screaming. She walked over to a flower display, casually examining them in the hope nobody would take any notice of her. She traced on of her tattoos as it swirled and twisted about her collarbone and up her neck, the inky black shape moving around on her pale but fair skin. She could practically hear some of the guests at this event thinking "Shade" with contempt and hatred. Her kind, usually regarded as monsters to most humans and some clans of goblins, had decided to make a deal with a neighboring kingdom, with Aria as the bargaining tool. Typical, those fools would do anything to get what they needed. Aria summoned her Shade creature, and in a puff of black smoke, the raven appeared before her, beady eyes glowing with malice. "Calm down, pet. We'll be fine. I think." she muttered to the raven, who was currently pecking at one of the flower displays.

(This is her dress btw http://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-albu-g4-M00-32-4D-rBVaEFc71kCADRvnAAOpvALLQAY901.jpg/dark-blue-bubble-sleeve-gown-medieval-dress.jpg )

(Oh, pretty!)

Ru finally caught sight of Ariana, bustling over to her with a smile stretched across his face. It was fake, but at this point, he'd perfected the art of giving perfectly happy looking fake smiles. He approached her quickly, kneeling before her and spitting "Ariana Hearthfire, will you take this ring, and me along with it?" in the most positive tone he could muster. He didn't particularly like the phrasing, but it worked under the circumstances. The ring made it clear that he was proposing, so what he said didn't matter much.

Ariana looked stunned, then appalled. She was about to say no when she remembered what her mother and father had told her. They would disown and kill her if she did say no, even though they very well knew she would hardly say yes. The Hearthfire pride had to be upheld, unfortunately for Ariana, and her parents would stop at nothing to keep it so. "Yes." she said stiffly, radiating displeasure but also a slight surrender.

Deleted user

Relief melted into his smile as he slipped the ring onto her finger At least she knew enough not to make a struggle. For someone who was a known savage, she was acting rather sensibly. "Perfect." This was where he switched from his own improv to the loose scrip his parents had written up for him. "I have loved you for so long, it seems like being apart a single day longer would kill me. Marry me tomorrow?" His tone was a bit stiff, but any gossips would be suitably convinced.

Aria looked at the ring, then back up at Cerulean. "Of course." she said. Tomorrow, her life would no longer be her own. She would be a slave to this… this…. this creature of a man! Aria held back anything but her best poker face until she could get out of sight

Ru bowed, grateful that she wasn't putting up a fuss. He just hoped he wouldn't have to be the one to break the news about the honeymoon. Being stuck in a house with that girl seemed unpleasant, to say the least. It was clear that she was suppressing her anger, and he'd hate to be around when she finally let it all out. He'd heard rumor of what a shade could do, and her demonic crow was already out and about. "Would you care to retire to my room tonight."

Deleted user

"Wh-what?" Aria asked, suppressing a loud coughing fit from the shock. Does he seriously want to- as if I would ever- definitely not with him- of all people- her thoughts were buzzing with fear and almost anger at his simply outrageous request.

Deleted user

He pushed a deep breath out of his nose, sure to keep his pleasant expression sealed in place. "Would you accompany me to my room?" He asked again. Oh. Well. Hearing it for the second time, he realized she thought he was asking for sex. It would be hilarious if Arina weren't so scary.

Ariana leaned in towards his ear. "Like hell I will. And if you push it, I will tear your heart out so fast you'll be able to see it beat it's last beat." she said. "Oh, I'm truly so very hungry, and my dear pet needs nourishment as much as I. It would be a shame for the bridegroom to disappear before the wedding." she finished, leaning away.

Ru paled, cream skin bleaching it to a milky white. The smile stayed plastered on his face. "I certainly hope not. Your parents would be quite angry, and I would hate to have my future wife incur their wrath." Despite his mild tone, he was scared. Terrified. He could already picture her terrifying bird tearing out his eyeballs with its razor-sharp beak. He took a step back, wiping a couple beads of sweat from her brow.
