Luca grabbed the guy's arm and pulled him away from Lili, pushing him up against the wall. "What the hell do you think you're doing? She doesn't want you, okay?" His voice was low but very, very serious. And just as angry. "If you go anywhere near her again, I'll kill you, do you understand me?" He breathed heavily.

She shrunk against her locker, closing her eyes before trying to stop Luca from killing the asshole that sexually harassed her on a daily basis. "Luca…don't hurt him, he's not worth it" she pleaded, looking him in her eyes worriedly.

Luca held the guy pressed against the wall as he turned to Lili. "He might not be worth it, but you are. I'm not gonna let him just come back tomorrow and do the same shit to you as he did today."

She blushed lightly, hoping he didn’t see it. People were crowding around now, her mind whirring in uncomfortable social anxiety.

“He’s not worth you getting in trouble” she replied, desperately trying to get him to stop.

“I see a possessive boyfriend!” the guy pinned up against the locker shouted, gritting his teeth before smirking, leaning in closer to Luca and spitting in his face. “I don’t see why you’d be so protective of a whore like her”

Luca lost it.

"Don't fucking call her a whore, you asshole!" He punched him with a well-placed uppercut. It was blind rage, he couldn't stop it. His forearm was pressed against the guy's throat in some kind of a one armed chokehold. Luca didn't care that everyone saw what he was doing. Nobody called Lili a whore. There was a loud bang as the guy's head hit the locker. He was bleeding from his jaw, and Luca was bleeding from his fist. But that didn't really matter.

Hot tears streamed down her flushed cheeks. “Luca stop!” She cried, pulling him by the waist to try and get him off the boy pinned against the locker. She wasn’t strong enough though, she could move him one bit. “Luca!” She heard someone shout from down the hall. Mr.Briggs.

Luca let go of the boy as he felt Lili's arms around his waist. Looking at her, he stopped. His eyes were filled with rage and his breath was heavy as the teacher got up to them. Mr. Briggs said something to him, but Luca only looked at Lili. He didn't want her to see him that way. His anger managment issues was obviously not something he were proud of.

"I'm sorry, L, but he really shouldn't have called you that." He glanced at the asshat, who were now trying to catch his breath a bit away.

As soon as he stopped and Mr.Briggs began talking she just hugged him, hiding her face in his neck. "Even if it's for me, don't do it. I couldn't handle if you got expelled. You're the only person I care about in this fucked up place of a school" she muttered into his skin, wiping her eyes on the neck of his shirt. "Who gives a shit about what he calls me. He's an ass. We both know that" she laughed softly, her voice cracking as she spoke.

"Don't worry, L. I won't leave you," he wispered, hugging her with one arm and listening with half an ear to what Mr. Briggs was saying. Realising that he had to go to the principal's office, he let go of her. "I'll be back," Luca muttered. "I'll see you in the next class, okay?"

She nodded, watching him leave as one of her classmates came up to her, bringing her to the washroom to clean the mascara off her face.

Luca got out of the principal's office about an hour later, feeling ashamed but at the same time a bit satisfied with what he did. He quickly walked through the corridors to the classroom. Opening the classroom door, he gave the teacher an apologetic look and quietly sat down on his seat. He saw Lili a couple of seats away and tried to catch her gaze.

Luca got out of the principal's office about an hour later, feeling ashamed but at the same time a bit satisfied with what he did. He quickly walked through the corridors to the classroom. Opening the classroom door, he gave the teacher an apologetic look and quietly sat down on his seat. He saw Lili a couple of seats away and tried to catch her gaze.

Lili flipped through her notebook before she looked up, seeing Luca as he walked into the room, her plush, glossy bottom lip slipping between her pearly whites as she returned her gaze to her papers, hoping he'd look to her again. She was very happy to see him which meant he hadn't gotten suspended, but she was also slightly mad because he made her cry like a baby. Which she couldn't really pin on him, she was just a softie.

Luca smiled at Lili when she looked to him, a slightly sad, apologetic smile. He really hoped she wasn't angry with him. He hated it when she was that. A month ago or so, Luca had developed a small crush on his best friend. He had never told her that, off course, cause he knew that she probably didn't feel the same. But still… when he saw her biting her lip like that… the butterflies in his stomach just couldn't help but to come alive, slap him with their wings, and say to him: Tell her, you idiot!

She couldn't help but smile back, looking back down at her papers before ruffling through her bag which was beside her, pulling out her glasses when the teacher put something up on the board and also ripping a paper from her notebook, beginning to write something on it, looking up at him from time to time.

She folded it up, writing Luca's name on the front of the tiny, squared up piece of paper.

It read:

So, how much detention time do you have to serve? I hope it doesn't interfere with our movie plans tonight. I've been wanting to watch Lord of the Rings for the 30th time.

Luca read the note as he got it. For a moment, he wanted to tell her the truth. That he probably wouldn't be able to make it tonight. But he knew that she would be disappointed. So, he lied. Luca was surpirsed with how easy the lie came.

Don't worry, I'll make it in time :)

Ah, well. He would just have to find a way to sneak out of detention. He had done it before, this was not the first time that he was in trouble. It actually happened quite a lot, and most of the time it had to do with some guy saying something about Lili. She didn't know about that, though. This was probably the first time that she had actually seen it happen.

She smiled at the girl who passed the note back to her, her slim, delicate fingers unfolding the note before her piercing blue eyes scanned over the words, smiling. Her eyes lit up when she did this, the iris' catching the bright, white lights of the classroom. She stuffed the note in her bag before returning to her work, slipping on her glasses before putting the faux wood case on the side of her desk.

Soon the bell rang and she stood up, still packing up her things and slipping her glasses off and closing the case, the case making a loud clap noise that she jumped at slightly before shoving that in her bag as well as her books and pencil case.

"Hey." Luca walked up to her. "Sorry. We okay? I just need to make sure."

“Hey. Yes, of course” she replied, smiling up at him before biting her lip. She’d had a crush on him for a while now but she would never tell him. She was planning on letting it pass, but it was persistent for at least a year now. She didn’t think it would end up going away, but she didn’t want to mess up the friendship either.

“So, what’s our next class?” She asked, not knowing it was already home time.
