"Well I guess we were wrong about her then." He smiled at her excitement, "You must come! You could wear my clothes and look like one of the boys! Hmmmm, what would i show you first? How definitely the meadow! Especially in the night! I could show you the markets and the black smiths, maybe you could even do a little shopping when we're out, or tell your parents thats the reason your going." He said hopefully
"Yes, maybe I could. But you know how protective they are. Ah well, I'll try and tell them tomorrow morning." Gene stated. But she knew that they would decline. Ever since her sister had been killed, her parents had never let Gene leave the castle grounds. And it's been that way. For six years.
"I know, and I'm sorry," He said giving her a sad smile, "But hey! At least i can come bother you through all hours of the night! And waste your time by talking about all the things that no one else would care about!" He said chuckling and poking her side until she squealed.
Yelping, Gene reeled back in retaliation. She giggled. "Stop that!" She lightly punched him in the shoulder.
He smiled and tackled he back into the bed continuing to tickle her, because if there was one thing to lift her spirits it would be to get her to laugh until she had abbs!
(XD)
"Luke-" she started saying in between the tickles, "stop - that!" She couldn't help but laugh, and it did not help that she was very, very ticklish.
(Hey, i gotta go to school, so im going to be afk for a while, bye)
(Byee, If you're leaving now I'll only be back in like seven hours :( )
Luke laughed his head off but stopped when she got out of breath.
"So have you had any success with your secret swordsmanship?"
(can I join in as a lady in waiting/maid?)
Relieved that the tickling attack had finally reached to an end, Gene nodded. "Sir Gallego taught me some impressive moves with a sword last Sunday. I can't wait to try them out the next chance I get!" Talking about her secret life had gotten Gene giddy with joy. She was doing something that her parents didn't know about. She was actually defying the rules. "So how are you with a sword?" Gene asked Luke. "I can't remember the last time I saw you wield one."
(can I join in as a lady in waiting/maid?)
Of course! Just make sure you add a character description!
(Still time for Orion to but his way into the story? His desc. is on the first page)
(yep, pop in whenever you want!)
Orion walked along the streets, a mild drink held in one hand. Occasionally sipping it, he keeps his eyes peeled for danger. He knows that the town isn't always safe at night. Finding a relitavely comfortable wall, he leans against it, closing his eyes and casting a mild protection ward to deter thieves.
"You know me, I've never been too good with a sword, although i can hold myself in a duel, you know I don' really need it, especially with my-" he opened his palm to open his small flame. and smiled at the look in Gene's eyes.
Always gazing in wonder whenever he did that, Gene looked up into Luke's eyes. "How does it feel? I mean, if it feels like anything at all. It's fire though, shouldn't it burn your hand?" She asked curiously.
As night turned to day, Arietta's eyes fluttered open, where was she again? Right, the Kingdom of Raine. That would mean propper morning clothes instead of staying in her nightie until her mother saw her and forced her to put on some 'more appropriate day attire.' Ari got changed quickly into a soft peach dress and slipped on some matching flats, she then left her room to go exploring. She ignored the fact that she could hear Gene with a male in the other princess' room across the hall and continued on her way and found herself in one of the castles many beautiful gardens.
He smiled at her wonder, "Here I'll give it to you then you can feel it." He placed a silent protection over her hands so that they wouldn't burn and placed the flame in her open palms.
Amazed that she was holding fire, Gene got a bit over excited and threw her hands up in the air. She singed the top of her bed, but luckily it did not catch on fire. She looked up at her mistake. "Whoops. I guess I know why I am not magical," She laughed. The fire, which was still in Gene's hand, seemed to feel like nothing. Well, there was a hint of heat, but not so much that it burnt her hands.
There was nothing that could make Luke happier than to see Gene happy; it barely compared to the brightness of the rising sun.
"Oh shit." He suddenly said, making Gene look back at him. He closed his hands over hers to put out the fire. "The sun's risen!" He quickly got up and put the maid disguise back on. "I promise I'll try to see you again tonight!" and with that he hustled out of her room, but not before hearing her good bye, and replying with his own.
Arietta was getting bored, she had circled the incredibly large garden twice already, found at least three hidden doors and as much as she liked her alone time - this was far too much. Eventually, she found her way to the entrance of the garden and tried heading back the way she thought her room was.
Surprised that they lost track of time, Gene laid back on her bed. She and Luke had stayed up all night talking. Luckily, she didn't feel tired at all. The fire that Luke had put in her hand seemed to only energize her, so she got dressed for the new day.
Gene pulled on a nice, loose green sun dress that was one of her favorites, because it didn't restrict her movements. She applied just a hint of makeup to make her amber eyes pop out and ran a quick brush through her wavy hair.
Finally ready, she walked outside of her chambers and knocked on Princess Arietta's door. She wasn't there. Or, at least, she wasn't answering. Ignoring every protical, Gene opened the wooden doors and stepped into her room. There was no sign of her.
"Princess Arietta? Arietta, where are you?" Gene asked nobody as she stepped out into the hall.
On his way out of the castle, Luke accidentally bumped into someone, causing them both to fall down. "I'm so sorry about that, I wasn't looking where i was-" He paused when he looked up to see that the person he had bumped into was the Princess Arietta! He quickly got up and gave her a hand. "Oh! Your majesty! I'm so so sorry about this!" He was happy that he was still in his disguise as a maid.
Ari smiled, finally, someone who knew where they were going. "It's quite all right, I'm just a little lost… You work here right? Could you possibly show me the way back to Princess Genevieve’s room?"
