“I——“ Vera gulped, fully processing how close he was.

Tay kissed Vera's cheek. "Shhh."

Vera’s eyes widened slightly. “But— Bridge—“
Still, she found herself slipping her hands into his.

Tay moved his lips to her mouth and prayed that no one was watching.

Her heart swelled as she found herself pressed gently against the wall, Tay kissing her. Head spinning, whole body out of her control, she leaned into it, not knowing how to stop herself.

Tay ran his hands through Vera's hair and he smiled on the inside.

Vera found her hands tucked between her and Tay, laying on his bare chest, and she blushed, remembering she was in a bikini. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. She only knew one thing; she wanted Tay.

Tay pulled away, "Vera." he said, a bit breathlessly.

Vera opened her mouth again, but the only thing that came out was his name. “Tay…”

"I love you."

“I—“ her breath hitched as her heart hammered in her chest. “—love you too.”

"I know."

“How?”, she whispered softly, itching to kiss him again. All thoughts of resisting had gone straight out the window.

Tay smiled, "Can't you tell when someone's in love? It's as easy as….eating a cinnamon roll."

Vera’s eyes traced over the dips and curves of his face. “I— I was unaware.”

"Love is blinding, I agree." Tay brushed a loose strand of hair from Vera's face.

She leaned into his touch against her better judgment. “Love is a blind bird that nests in the heart…”, she murmured a fractured line from one of her poems.

"Did you write that yourself?" Tay asked, leaning in.

“Mm.”, Vera murmured in the affirmative, her hands traveling up to cup his cheeks. You shouldn’t be doing this!!

"I'd like to read that poem sometime." Tay smiled, "Maybe one day we can watch a movie together."

“M-maybe sooner than someday.” She blushed, ignoring the thoughts that swirled around in her head, commanding her to stop.

"Yeah."

Vera finally pulled away, trying to piece together the muddled mush that was her brain and catch her breath. “That was… wow.”

"Didn't you say that last time?" Tay teased, pushing his wet hair from his face.

Vera blushed. “Like you said, I’m the truth, therefore I can only speak it.”
