"Well?" Loilai leaned in, "Tell me."

Vera looked away again. “I was stupid. I agreed to go with Eryon and another guy and break into the arcade at night and play around with the games. Tay saw, but didn’t really do anything, and ended up driving me home after the other two ditched me. Somehow, Bridge found out, and threatened to go to the police and report Tay. It’s my fault, I was too much of an idiot to know when to say no.”
