Kendall Willis (my character) goes to the same university as (your character). In addition to going to classes, she works at May's old-fashioned diner as a waitress in the morning, and at OZ, an LGBTQ+ club, as a singer at night. Her friends and family only know about the first job. Your character happens to go to both places on the same day.

(awww I love tina already)
(Yup! WOuld you like to start or should I?)
"…Girl, you know I want your love
Your love was handmade for somebody like me
Come on now, follow my lead
I may be crazy, don't mind me
Say, boy, let's not talk too much
Grab on my waist and put that body on me
Come on now, follow my lead
Come, come on now, follow my lead…"
Kendall swayed her hips to the music as she sang, letting her eyes sweep out across her audience. Her gaze caught on a dark-haired woman sitting at one of the side booths. The woman had been there for the last three songs, Kendall flashed her a flirtatious wink before letting her gaze drift again…
"Kendall? Kendall Willis?" Tina asked, walking up to her.
Kendall's eyes widened as she walked down from the stage, but she quickly smoothed over her expression, which was mostly covered by her mask, anyway. "Who, darling?" she asked the woman.
"Take off that bloody mask, I knew I recognized you. We're in the same class as each other." Tina laughed.
Kendall was internally panicking, all of her mental sirens going off. "I'm sorry, hun, but I'm not this 'Kendall' person," she replied, tilting her head to feign innocence. "The name's Emerald."
"Liar. Take off that stupid mask, you beautiful idiot." Tina joked.
