Backstory: Vaughn had a normal life, living in a small home with his mom (Catherine), Dad (Jack), and little sister (Adeline). When he was 13, Jack came home completely intoxicated and violent. He got into an argument with Catherine, and Vaughn was told to take his sister (who was 8 at the time) upstairs. The argument escalated, and Jack ended up shooting Catherine and killing her. Then, he went after Vaughn and Adeline, pulling Adeline away from Vaughn as they were going up the stairs and shoving Vaughn down them. Vaughn didn’t see if because he went unconscious, but Jack threw Adeline against the stairwell wall multiple times, and she ended up dying because of head trauma. Vaughnn woke up about 30 minutes later, and when he went into the kitchen, he discovered the dismembered bodies of Catherine and Adeline. Because he witnessed this happen, he has developed things like Agoraphobia (Fear of places and situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment) and Pisanthrophobia (the fear of trusting people due to bad past experiences). He was in and out of multiple foster homes after that, one even reporting that he claimed to hear voices telling him to hurt his foster brother. As Vaughn got older, he turned to drinking and violence to deal with his trauma. He started out by assualting people who made him angry, but soon targeted a specific group: men who were convicted of abusing their families. This seemed to help him cope. At 21, he killed his first victim. After that, he spiraled downhill, becoming branded something like a serial killer by the public, and a hero by some standards.
Other: He stays in an abandoned gas station on the side of a shut down highway.
