"Thanks." He rubbed his wrists because they were red from the ropes as he got up.
"Thanks." He rubbed his wrists because they were red from the ropes as he got up.
Vixie changed back, looking around the house. "So, still not wanting to come back to the forest? I've never been robbed there." She smirked slightly.
"I don't know, I'll see if I can."
"If you can? Who's stopping you?" Vixie looked down at her fingernails, which were flecked with blood.
"You should get that cleaned up." He said, trying to avoid the question and looked away.
Vixie sighed and went to wash her hands. She soon came back and spoke again. "So? You haven't answered."
"Well…John's gonna follow me and I don't want him to bother you." He replied as he flopped down on his couch.
"John?" Vixie sat down beside Leon. "Was that the man who tied you up? I'm not worried about him. I think I've proved well enough that I can deal with him, and if he follows, he'll wish he didn't. He'll get another dose of that, and I doubt he'd be willing to return anytime soon."
"He has other 'friends' that would probably come."
(Poor child, he has so many problems)
(Rip)
"And I'll deal with them too." Vixie said softly, making eye contact with Leon. "Don't worry so much; it'll be fine."
He nodded, "Thank you so much. I can't explain how thankful I am."
Vixie nodded as well. "Now come on." She stood up and grabbed onto Leon's hand, pulling him up with her. "We should go."
"Okay then." He grabbed the keys to his house and locked his house as they left.
Vixie led the way back to her little cottage in the woods, tailed by deer as she went. She simply pushed the door open when they arrived, not having any reason to have locked it.
Leon walked into her cottage quietly, "I forgot to tell you before but you have a nice cottage."
"Thanks." Vixie smiled softly, taking the tea kettle off the stove. "Tea? I know you didn't want any the first time we met, but I dunno. You might want it now." She poured herself a cup.
"No thanks again, not a big fan of tea."
"Alright." Vixie sipped her own tea, looking dreamily out the window as she rested her elbows on the sill. The view from this place was, in her opinion, amazing.
"Soo….."He started awkwardly, not sure what to say.
"So? What now?" Vixie finished the tea and set down her cup, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "We could walk around the forest or just stay in here for a bit. Whichever is fine with me."
"Your choice, it's your home after all." He ran a hand through his hair, something he did when he was nervous.
"Come on. You're stressed, and walking in this forest will do you good." Vixie pushed open the door and left.
"Okay then." He followed Vixie.
Vixie transformed into a fox and traveled a path she knew well. The autumn leaves rustled and fell around them as they went.
He looked around, taking in his surroundings, as he kept following her.
