"I'm from Montreal, Canada. I'm pretty sure it's the second biggest city in Canadia." That's when I spotted a familiar face over Dara's shoulder. I stood up slightly from the table and waved to her. "Hey, Lydia! Over here!"

"Hey London," I say, walking over to the group. "That line is so long! I'll fall asleep before I get coffee."

Darilyn laughed. "Who are you?" she asked after a second, and she smiled.

"I'm Lydia," I respond. "You all must be London's friends?"
I sit down next to London, sipping my coffee and setting down my bag.

"Yes I am! I'm Darilyn." She replied with a smile. ( Yes thats fine! )

"Nice to meet you!" I say, standing back up. I point with my thumb backwards towards a doubles table. "I actually have to go, I'm meeting with someone."
I walk away, a small blush spreading on my cheeks as I wave goodbye and walk over.

I peer over Dara's shoulder to see Lloyd Windsor sitting at a table, watching Lydia walk back. I smile, glad she finally found someone.

"She's nice." Says Darilyn, turning back to London.

Lloyd sipped his coffee in silence, tapping his foot anxiously. He hated being cooped up like this. Though he probably wouldn't be going outside even if he could, he didn't like the fact that there was no way to escape this place in case of an emergency.

Darilyn spotted a boy sitting at another table, she she hopped up from her's and went over. "hello!" she said excitedly.

"Hmm? Oh, hello." Lloyd looked up at the new arrival patiently, as though waiting for her to continue. She probably needed something if she had come over.

"I'm Darilyn." she said. "I haven't seen you before. Are you just at the hotel for pleasure? A lot of my class was here for a field trip and we got stuck."

"I'm in your class as well, but I sit in the back and… don't talk much." He continued tapping his foot anxiously. "I hate being cooped up here… my name is Lloyd, by the way. Lloyd Saxon Windsor." He held out his hand politely to shake Darilyn's.

Darilyn felt her face turn red, and she laughed as she shook his hand. "Lloyd you've been me blush from embarrassment! I had no clue you were in our class!" she said. "Now I feel bad."

"No, don't worry about it." He smiled a bit. "I've made myself hard to notice, sort of on purpose. I don't like being the center of attention, so I sit in the back and keep quiet. I don't think I've ever actually raised my hand in class, even though I usually know the answer. I just don't feel the need to… er, put myself out there? Is that the phrase?"

"Yes it is." Darilyn said.

"My brother is kind of like that too, but he's quite naive. He's only nine after all, and I doubt you know him." Lloyd tapped his fingers on the table. "I'm worried about him… he doesn't like when I'm gone too long. He hates to be alone, even for a few minutes. It's one of his worst fears."

Darilyn nodded. "I understand that. Can you call him?"

Lloyd shook his head. "He doesn't have a phone, and our landline doesn't work. He should be at school right now, but he'll probably start to panic when he gets home and finds the house empty.."

London watched as Darilyn and Lloyd chatted happily at his table. She knew she shouldn't care, but inside, she grew sad. In the little time, London got to know Darilyn, she might have grown a little crush on her. But London didn't know if Darilyn was straight, bi, pan, or what. So she just kept it to herself. She didn't want to ruin their friendship anyway.
