(That should happen later, rvan still needs Nana and Ren is going to help when the Council comes to collect them)
Ren gave a small charming smile, “You don’t have to say sorry,” He told her, helping her back up to her feet. “Come, let’s finish our walk.” He offered his arm again, eyes twinkling.
“I’m going to kill him.” Sorina growled into her headset as she looked out of the helicopter’s window. She could finally see Sorcium’s famous towers coming into view. The ice draman may have thought the two towers were a beautiful feat of engineering, had she not known that the man she despised currently more than the Council was staying there.
Leo adjusted his headset, “Pfft, only if you get to him first.” Leo leaned back in his seat, but a grin was on his face. It felt like forever since he’d seen the Fire leader.
Sorina placed a hand on the glass separating her from the chaotic world outside. It had been a month since she last seen her daughter. For all she knew, her daughter could be in chains and getting torchured at this very moment.
“Do you think she’s alright?” She asked her friend, softly.
(“She asked friend”)
“Of course she is, she’s a kickass goddaughter, she can handle herself.” He leaned back in his seat as he waited for them to land. Skylar would be fine, Leo just had a feeling.
Gods, I hope he’s right, Sorina thought to herself, just before the helicopter pilot came on through the speakers.
“I have spoken with the Officials and they have given us permission to land. Brace yourself.” He informed.
Sorina gripped the arm rests of her of chair so hard her knuckles went white as the flying machine surged downward. Mrs. Serideen hated moving through the air with anything other than her own two wings mostly because she was completely out of control within this flying contraption and her fate was in the hands of some random pilot she barely knew.
The ice draman whispered a prayer of thanks to Natalia after she finally felt the plane touch the landing pad built into Sorcium’s left tower, which was also know as Tower of Lust. Instantly, the plane’s side doors popped open as helicopter powered down.
“Remember the Council is only giving you five days to get those traitorous dramans back in line.” The pilot warned.
Leo slipped out of the helicopter, tipping his hat in acknowledgment. In truth, he didn’t give a d-mn about how much time the Council was giving them. For all he cared, Leo was happy to go on the run with Draco and company. The only problem was he wanted John to stay safe, and he didn’t know how long until the Council found the hidden bunker.
Sorina followed Leo out out of the machine as calmly as she could, but as soon as her high heels hit the the pavement a chill flew down her spine.
Draco Legocio was here.
Gods, she could practically feel him.
Draco had spent the morning running through some training excersizes with his fire protégés that wouldn’t set the whole tower on fire. Well, at least he was working with all of his fire protégés minus Thalia. Skylar had informed him that his missing protégé had gone off with Prince Ren.
Draco made a mental note to do some digging the prince’s history later today. Just in case. And then he would finally talk to Skylar about her newfound powers and perhaps tell her—
No. Draco didn’t even let himself finish the thought. There was no way he’d ever tell her about that. Although, it would probably do the ice draman some good to practice using her new powers.
“Draco?” Kyle asked for the third time.
The fire mentor shook his head and blinked his eyes.
“Pardon me, Kyle. What did you say?”
Kyle frowned with concerned eyes. Draco just seemed so spaced out today…
“We finished target practice. What excersize do you want us to do now?”
“I think that will be enough for now.” Draco replied and saw relief flicker in Kyle’s eyes. Draco silently cursed himself. He hadn’t been playing attention to how hard protégés were working and knew Kyle was far to kind to let on when he was exhausted. What kind of fire mentor was he?
The fire mentor watched Kyle walk away and stood in the silence that fell like a blanket once the young fire draman had left. Draco knew Kyle was much to kind to point out that he had let them down as mentor because he should have been able to give them freedom once they passed the border, but all he managed to secure for them was borrowed time until the Council outbid them. He was truly a failure of a mentor.
Draco let out a sigh. He didn’t have time to dwell on his faults. He had to be doing things—something—anything. The fire draman spun on his heels and started to walk down the corridor when it hit him so violently he crumbled to his knees.
Sorina Serideen was here.
Leo stretched his arms, strolling away from the helicopter. He was oblivious to the moment Skylar was having. “So where might we find that b-stard?”
Skylar shook her head. Focus. The ice mentor looked ahead.
“I was informed that he was three floors down from here.” She replied casually with no intention of explaining what exactly had informed her.
(I was thinking that Draco will run into Leo first. They’ll hug, but Leo will pull away be like Draco I gots to warn u about something (AKA Sorina wants to kill you), but before Leo has time to explain, Sorina come in and slaps him.)
(Cool)
“Lovely,” Leo began walking inside of the tower. Servants greeted them with refreshments and complimentary sweets, and Leo took a moment to grab a few candies before he strode to the elevator and waited for Skylar, offering her a candy.
Sorina raised her eyebrows.
“For all we know, that could very well be poisonous.” She warned, but still followed the former thunder draman into the elevator.
“It tastes good,” Leo shrugged, leaning against the elevator wall as it descended. Once the doors opened, he stepped out and began walking down the hall in hopes of finding Draco.
Meanwhile, Draco was practically sprinting down the hallway. Something had to be wrong with him because there was no way Sorina could possibly be here. Although, he needed to be sure—needed to see that landing pad that was barren of any trace of the ice draman. Then, he go back to his room and laugh it off and try to prentend he wasn’t going insan—
Wham!
Draco smashed into someone as he turned a corner. The fire mentor instantly took a step back.
“My apologies.” He said and looked up to see who exactly he had ran into..
Draco gasped once his gaze met those familiar bright yellow eyes.
“Leo!?” The fire draman exclaimed.
“Oh now, look at this, just another hate crime! I can’t go around walking without someone body slamming me.” Leo said, crossing his arms over his chest but a smile was creeping onto his face. “I gotta warn you about something, you see-“
