Lucy was out in the front yard of her cabin in the woods, laying on her stomach in the grass with a boot on her back. “You’re going to ruin my shirt,” she snapped, yanking the foot by the ankle off of her, glaring up at the taller man. Cooper. he came over every morning just to bug her with training. “You aren’t fighting back, what exactly did you expect?” He asked in a low toned voice. She slapped his leg in response.
~~
Cooper stood above Lucia, who was still laying on the ground. She hadn’t improved much, she refused to use her abilities against him, but allowed herself to be blinded by shadows. All she did was slap his leg. “Come on, get up. You’re not done,” he said, shadows swirling around his fingertips.
Raven stayed in the bushes, with her bow and arrow, she shot one of the zombies whenever they came in her sight.
Hearing shouting, she got curious and followed the sound to a small cabin. She saw two people, a man standing over the woman.
“I would much rather stay here,” Lucy mumbled, receiving a nudge in the ribs from Cooper. “Come on, I’m serious,” she continued, glaring sharply. He reached his foot out to nudge her again, when frustration bubbled in her chest. “Abite,” she snapped, and Cooper appeared to be shoved backwards, tumbling to the ground a few feet away.
~~
Cooper had reached out to nudge Lucia again when he heard the spell. He felt like a brick wall slammed into him, and the next thing he knew, he was falling to the ground. He heard Lucia gasp and her shake him, apologizing. He simply smile and sat up, tasting blood from where his lip had split. “That’s exactly what I wanted. Maybe try that again in combat.”

She gasped loudly, before slapping a hand over her mouth. I hope they didn’t hear me.
Cooper was about to continue when he thought he heard something. On instinct, he thought it was a zombie, and he jumped to his feet, dragging Lucia with him. What looked like a long blade formed in his hand from darkness and he scanned the area with his eyes. “Hello?”
After a moment of playing with the possibilities in her mind, she stepped out from behind the tree. “Hello.”
"Invisibilia," Alex whispered. They had to leave their small shelter. The bow, a quiver, and a small hunter knife was on their back. They looked down at their hand to see nothing there. Perfect. They snuck out with all of their belongings off into the forest.
Cooper’s eyes narrowed softly in suspicion as the sword vanished from his hold. He eyed the girl before speaking. “Who are you?”
~~
Lucy watched from her spot, standing slightly behind Cooper. She had never seen this girl before around that area. She wrapped her arms around herself and adjusted her glasses as she watched.
“V,” she said after a moment. “I’m V.”
Cooper gave a skeptical look. “Where are you from, V?” He questioned.
“I live in my old house, on thebedge of town.”
“What are you doing in these woods? They can be dangerous,” Cooper said, folding his arms.
~~
Lucy frowned as she watched V. What a strange name, had it be short for something. She decided to stay quiet, as to not attract attention towards herself.
“Running out of food,” she said slowly, keeping her eyes trained on the pair.
Lucy managed to half interrupt her mentor before he began to speak. “I have some things to spare, it’s only me living here and there’s more than enough,” she said, shifting her glasses while Cooper gave her an annoyed glance.
“I wouldn’t want to be a bother, I can hunt for myself,” she said, raising the bow.
Copper gave a quick nod, giving Lucy a quick glare. While he was all for helping people, he still had to be cautious. “Do as you wish, then.”
“Thanks for the offer - maybe we can trade or something sometime. I have a lot of sugar and spices, and the like.”
“Yeah, maybe,” Lucy spoke up, folding her arms loosely across her stomach. “I’d be happy to.”
Just as Lily finished her sentence, three zombies burst through the undergrowth, shrieking in their guttural language.
Lucy and Cooper quickly jerked in the direction of the zombies. The same sword formed in Cooper’s hand as he ran towards the group of them. “Manete,” Lucy said in a sharp tone, palm pointed towards one of the zombies, and it was frozen where it stood, allowing Cooper the opportunity to strike it down.
Vivian’s head snapped toward the zombies and she threw her arms out, purple magic throwing one back.
Alex crept around the forest. Having to keep up their spell took a lot of mental effort. They stumbled around the bushes. They heard footsteps behind them. Alex dropped the invisibility spell and began running. They shouted, "Celeritas!"
