The sun was bright and happy and the flowers were brighter than ever as they'd made their way to Major's Auntie's house. Willow should've known something was up. She should've known. The ground split open and lava poured into the cracks. Giant meteoroids crashed into the ground and the sky turned black, filling with smoke and fire. Willow'd screamed, "ABASI!!" he turned sharply, knowing that when Willow called him by his actual name, something was up. Willow had curled up on the ground, screaming and crying for help. She'd thought she was going to die. But it was all fake, made up, in her head. Like it always was. Major went down on the ground next to her, throwing his arms around her shaking and heaving body, and stroking her curly hair. "It's okay Wil, it's all fake, you gonna be fine. It's in your head. Close your eyes, it will be gone in a moment."
Willow closed her eyes, shutting them tight, but she could still smell the smoke and the feeling of fire, licking her legs. Major pulled some flowers off of the ground that'd come from her hair and gently tucked them back into her mess of black, tight curls, "C'mon Wil, talk to me. Tell me all 'bout what you saw."
Willow opened her eyes and shut them tight again after seeing that the cracks and the rumbling and the lava was still there, "It was like the end o' the world. There was cracks and lava and fire."

They stayed there, curled up into a ball right in front of Auntie's house, with Major arms around Willow as she held onto him for dear life. It was all her fault. If Willow hadn't had that hallucination, Major would still be alive.

"Hello there." the queens voice had been cruel, as she towered above Abasi and Willow. Holding her sharp, bloody knife up for them to see, "And I thought it would only be one kill today."

The door to the cottage was wide open, blood pooling at it and dripping onto the stairs. Major and Willow stared, eyes wide open, and shaking. Her hallucination had gone, but she was still frozen to the spot. The queen laughed, noticing their glances towards the door, "Oh her! She's not alive anymore." Alice licked the blade of the knife, "Such sweet blood. What a shame for her to die. But she didn't follow my orders. And that's not good is it?" the queen wagged her finger and tsked, "I'm not feeling satisfied like I usually do. Her death wasn't enough." Alice wiped the blood off with a finger and crouched down, painting a line of blood across Major's terrified face, "I wonder, what will your blood taste like?" Alice licked her lips.

Willow didn't want to remember this, but as she lied on the bed, memories knocked themselves back into her skull. I don't want to remember, I don't want to remember. She remembered. Remembered everything. Every. Single. Last. Detail. But she didn't want to. The sound of crying filled the room, giant, heaving sobs, and it took a while for Willow to realize that the tears were hers. That day, that cursed day. Alice had brandished her knife, ready to go in for the kill, when Major grabbed Willow's hand and ran, pulling her along. When Willow was safely hidden, Major locked her into the house. "Stay," he'd commanded, not giving in to her screams and cries and her pounding on the door. "I have to keep her off of your trail." and he left.

Willow broke down the door, and she ran. Ran and ran and ran, feet pounding at the ground. The sound of her heartbeat had enveloped the sound of the world, but as soon as she got to Auntie's cottage, Alice was eating Major's remains. Blood covering her fingers and mouth. Major's blood. Willow'd ran away, not believing what she'd saw. Collapsing next to a tree, the world went silent and the forest went gray. She returned to the cottage, closing her eyes so she wouldn't have to see Major's mangled corpse. She layed a large white sheet over him and left the village, settling into a small cottage deep in the forest. And throughout the years, the image of Abasi's dead, ripped apart body being devoured by Alice, never left Willow's mind.

It was all her fault. All her fault. Willow got out of the room and found a bathroom to wash her face. She emerged a bit red, but feeling better after smashing the mirrors.
