“You claim it wasn’t your fault that you killed my mom?”
“You claim it wasn’t your fault that you killed my mom?”
Cade shrugged. "Alright then, public torture. Whatever."
Scarket clenched her fists. “I killed her, yes. But do you really think I wanted to do that to the kind cat who I’d known and loved for four years?!”
Chelsea glared at Scarlet, a cold hard empty glare.
He looked between the princess and Chelsea. "Alright, enough tension." Cade stood up and walked in between them. "Look, I don't think the princess wanted to kill your mom, even though it wasn't the right thing to do. Let's just forget this and move on. We have a Queen to kill."
"Chelsea, it's not Scarlet. It's the Queen." She reminded her. "My father died because of the queen too." Quinn explained, holding her watch tightly in her hand.
Quinn nodded at Cade in thanks. She turned back towards the two girls. "Do you know any places where she'll be? Carriage rides. . . parties?"
( oh it should be a masquerade ball )
Cade shrugged. "If anyone here would know, it'll be the princess."
Chelsea glared at Scarlet until tears started running down her cheeks. Chelsea looked away and wiped away her tears but tears kept on coming.
Oh no crying girls…my weakness… He pretended to ignore Chelsea, hoping that someone else would deal with her.
( 'my weakness' xD )
Scarlet reaches forward but quickly withdrew her hand, knowing that she would be the last person Chelsea would want to hear. She but her lip. “She’ll be at the masquerade ball tomorrow night.”
Quinn bit her lip bottom lip and stepped towards Chelsea, not to sure about what to do. "Hey. . . it'll be okay." She said softly, her blue eyes full of sympathy.
"Masquerade ball?" She turned as she heard Scarlet's comment. A small smile played on her lips. "Perfect. . . she won't see our faces. And, I know just the tailor to go to."
"A ball? I just met you guys, you don't need to see my clumsy dancing yet." Cade joked, feeling more comfortable around them.
“Won’t he turn us in?”, Scarlet asked. “Also, I packed my master makeup kit, give me a few minutes and you’ll all look the opposite gender. Anyone know that merchant from the village?”
“The most terrifying thing is my mom could’ve disappeared and ran away. But she didn’t. She knows how to stop us.” Chelsea wailed.
"That guy that I got a bag from?" Cade asked. "Wait, hold on. I'm not dressing up as a girl right? I did not sign up for that."
“No, the one who always wears a red bandana. And you don’t have to dress up as a girl, but you can.”
"You're not going to be a girl." She explained. "We just need to look the part. Fancy, refined. . . everything I'm not. We can find that merchant, Santiago, and get some dresses and masks."
"Red bandana?"
Harper had been staring into the distance ever since Chelsea started talking about her mother. She remembered the day that the queen came to her castle and killed everyone. Only she and Aubrey had escaped. She started trembling.
(I’m actually feeling kind of bad for Chelsea… and then I also want to kill her… ._.)
“You know, the guy with all the trinkets. Visits the town every Saturday and Tuesday?”
