“… Burnt… down?” A smile spread across her face. “Perfect. I hated it.”

Alfred frowned. “As you wish.”

Harper nodded. "Where is she?"

Alfred quickly led Harper to where Scarlet and Willow were walking.

"Scarlet!" Harper called to her friend.

Scarlet whirled around. “Harper?!” She instantly noticed the wound. “What happened?!?!”

Harper couldn't hold back the tears now. "Aubrey's dead. Mace killed her. And he has access to almost everywhere."

Scarlet choked. “I’m so sorry, Harper. Who’s Mace? And you need medical attention!”

"Mace is the director of the resistance. And he's a traitor." Harper choked out.

Scarlet swore. “Come, we’ll get you to the infirmary and contact the resistance.”

"We can't contact the resistance, there's no telling how deep this goes."

Scarlwt’s head pounded. “We’ll figure something out. Now you need medical attention!”

"Okay okay. If you say so."

Scarlet pulled her friend into the South Wing, calling for a doctor.

“Yes Ms. Scarlet?” A doctor asked.

Cade shrugged to himself and followed the girls, unsure who any of these people were.

“This is Harper. She needs medical attention, stab wound in her shoulder I think.”, she said frantically.

"I got shot in the leg and the stab wound was from a few days ago, but whatever……." Harper managed to say.

“Hello Ms. Harper.” Dr. Sierra said, “I will begin by disinfecting your wound.”

Scarlet stepped back, looking her friend over worriedly. “We-we can have a funeral for Aubrey, if you want.”, she offered softly.

"Who's Aubrey?" Cade asked, finally speaking up.

"That would be nice." Harper said softly.

“Harper’s sister.”, Scarlet told him quietly.

“This will sting.” Dr. Sierra said blankly.

Sister… It made him think of his siblings back home. I wonder if they miss me.

"Better than feeling nothing." Harper replied.
