“I definitely want you on my team. What can you do?” He asked, smiling a little. The pieces of the puzzle were coming into place, a perfect picture beginning to form. A perfect picture. A picture of Marcos and his team sitting on thrones.
(Was he talking to Lilith?)
(Yeah, he was asking her about her powers)
(Okay sorry.)
"Well," Her arms shifted to swords. "This, I can run faster than normal humans and I'm stronger. If you couldn't tell, I'm half robot, so I can't be killed in a normal way either." She shifted her arms back and continued to follow him. Her powers weren't all that special, but she'll help the best she can.
“Mmmm… Very nice. That’s -you’re- perfect. I’m happy to have met you,” Marco said elegantly, looking to one of his servers as he asked Lilith, “Do you like music? I have some entertainment if you’d like to stay around.” A little boy, his message man, ran up with a note just as Marco was finishing his sentence.
Music? Lilith hadn't heard it in a while actually. She decided not to answer, since Marco looked busy. Instead she rocked back and forth on her heels and just looked around, not knowing what to do.
“Antonio…” Marco muttered with a wave, and the musician was immediately summoned. He read through the letter, from one of the guards he got a favor from. An interesting person had been spotted, apparently. Normally, he’d go out and meet the guy, but he wanted to get to know Lilith, to see how she’d fit in his perfect picture. He waved a hand at a server, “Tell Alfonzo to send for the guy, I’d love to meet him.” He closed the letter the look up at Antoino and his assistants ready to play. “Something classical, if you will,” He ordered elegantly and the music started softly. Marco turned to look at Lilith with a graceful gentleman’s smile, “Let me know if you’d rather have it off.” It was so easy to play the part of the elegant host, it was… strange. I’ll have time to make others bleed later…
(So looks like everyone’s still here, just all of us are super busy. Maybe I should open it for one more person?)
Lilith nodded as she sat in a chair kicking her legs back and forth. Not having emotions was difficult for everyone shes ever met to understand. "It's fine," Was all she could think of to say. Her eyes darted around the room before landing on Marco, "Now what?"
“I sent a man to meet someone, hopefully to convince this person to join us. From the description, he seems like another one of us,” Marco waved an idea hand through the air, “Look at me, getting lucky twice on the exact same day,” He let out a laugh, a noise he’d taken forever to sound genuine, and then asked, “So tell me more about yourself.”
Alfonzo, one of Marco’s men, hurriedly rush through the city. The boss could go from elegant, forgiving nobleman to unforgiving sadist in a few seconds. So it was best if he worked fast. Alfonzo looked through the town square for the person of interest.
"I apologize, but I don't know much about myself other then my name," Lilith copied Marco's speech. If she did know more about herself she would tell him. This was the best he was going to get from her.
“Really? You don’t have any hobbies or likes or dislikes? Any goals or fears, hmm?” Marco tilted his head slightly to the side. Something about her was growing on him… She was very simplistic, yet also… complex, in a way. Someone he could trust, in the future.
"No, I do not." She could care less about any of that, all she wanted was to feel something, anything. "I don't care for questions, so no more." Lilith closed her eyes and just listened to the music. Her face was blank the whole time, not one twitch of a frown or smile had appeared once.
Asher stopped in a sweet shop and bought some sweets with the money he stole from the guy he murdered. He hummed as he walked out of the store, popping sweets in his mouth. little did he know that there was still a splotch of blood on his pants leg.
“Ahhh, I’m sorry, I don’t mean to pester,” Marco replied with the tilt of his head and a gentle smile, “If you’d like to ask me about anything, I’d be happy to tell you about myself.”
Alfonzo was walking past a few stores when he saw a guy who matched the description of the person of interest. Alfonzo called out, “Excuse me, sir! May I talk with you for a quick moment?”
"Sure!" Asher said cheerfully as the man approached him. A noble servant clothing, Someone sent for me. A noble obviously, but who?
"You see, my lord would love to meet you, good sir, and I promise he means no ill will," At least to this guy, but me… "If you'd just follow me to the manor…"
"Why not!" He exclaims cheerfully, following the guy. Hm i was right, a noble.
"Whats your name? Im Asher!"
"What do I get for helping you with this plan of yours?" Lilith opened her eyes and looked up at Marco. The music was not helping with anything, in fact she didn't want to hear it anymore. Her eyes turned to the music maker, "Can you stop playing." It came out more of a damand then a question.
Antonio looked at him hesitantly, and Marco frowned, “You heard her. Pack up your things until the next time I find a use for you.” Antonio paled, quickly scrambling to pack his instruments. Marco turned his attention back on Lilith, “You can have a throne, and all the power that comes along with it. You’ll be sitting at the top of the world, along with me. Of course, we could either divide the land or rule together, whatever you would prefer,” He waved an idle hand in the air, lips curling into a smile.
“My name is insignificant, sir, I’m just the help,” Alfonzo started, keeping his eyes focused on the ground. Just a little bit more to the manor, then he’d be off the hook. Unless, of course, Marco decided he wanted to play a bit with blood. Alfonzo hid his shudder, crossing his fingers in hope Marco wouldn’t be in a bad mood.
Once they arrived at the manor, Asher stared around in wonder. "This is a pretty place!" he giggled madly. He kept getting distracted "Look at the flowers!" he would yell then get side tracked again.
Shoot… another crazy. Alfonzo walked to the large doors which were already being opened for them, “Right this way, sir.” Alfonzo just didn’t want to walk on glass shards anymore, he didn’t want to work for crazy people anymore. But… Marco had a policy for his servers. You had two options in this policy… work for Marco or die. And there was a fifty~fifty shot of dying when the lord was in a bad mood.
"Okay!" He said, walking through the doors. well, more like skipping. hm this is Lord Marco's manor is it not? he asked himself. Why would Marco want to talk to me?
"That's doesn't sound bad." She would tell him her true wish, but she wasn't sure if she could trust him quite yet. Lilith heard some doors open and looked off in the direction. Who could be here? Tapping her finger was the only thing keeping her from beating ever person in this castle.
