Hi!
Hi!
Girl, I'm keeping this alive for you.
Boo! I couldn't find it at first! :P
I still am exploring this thingy a LOT. (And not studying like I should)
Teach me all the rules for roleplaying?
Ok, hi! I'm here. So, basically, when someone starts a roleplay ("thread" is what they're technically called) then they usually have a whole plot and character template set up with it. If not, then it's just a plot. They'll put up a character template if you ask them or they'll do it once they have a decent amount of people who have joined. Before filling out a character template and jumping into a roleplay, always ask, unless it is clarified by the creator that you don't need to ask and can just jump in. The creator of the roleplay sets up the rules and once everyone has joined and put up a template, you start roleplaying in the third person as your character. To talk outside the roleplay, asking another person a question or such, use parenthesis around what you say. If you have an idea, you can start a roleplay and make rules and such.

I'll show you these in gym class.
Roleplay Abbreviations
rp - Roleplay
irp - In Roleplay
irl - In Real Life
rn - Right Now
That's really it of what I can think of off the top of my head. Oh, and you can always leave a roleplay too. It's not exactly smiled upon, but if you don't like the direction that the roleplay is taking say that you want to leave and turn off notifications. (I'll show you how to do that in gym.)
Also, one on ones. (I'll explain later)
And only join rps that say OPEN. Don't join a CLOSED rp, but if you turn on the notifications, you can stalk them - meaning that you can follow what they say.
Cool. I joined one!
Which one?
