Liam heard the news and tsk'd as he held his clipboard in hand. Talking with inmates after a violent encounter always made him feel some discomfort. Especially since he knew other guards could be unnecessarily rough. Liam made a brisk walk to cell block D to Ms? Mr? Finley. Papers said female but as he looked at him/her and Liam didn't want to start throwing pronouns.
"Finley, I'm sorry my peers have treated you with any sort of roughness. If you'd like I can ask the warden to look into this for me. I can't promise anything will come from it but it can be worth trying anyway. I heard you've had a violent encounter and am making sure you weren't treated with any bias regardless. I do have to let the parole board here about your violent outburst; however I am here to counsel your options to keep years from being added to your already long sentence."

Vaughn looked up at the man speaking to him, his grey eyes having a cold and sharp edge to them. “A longer sentence?” He hissed as the whispers spoke again. You have a free hand, Finley. Grab him and strangle him. We know you can do it, they mumbled. He shook his head to clear the thoughts. “I am in here for life, and I am not getting out. What I would like is to be let out of here so I can finish what I started,” he growled.
(yeah that sounds pretty good to me. Could be Liam is trying to find a more suitable inmate to the both of you and feels you both work for each other.)
Marrin yawned, she had finished her work for the day so she was free to go. She stood up, flashing a guy who had been annoying her the middle finger and walked out of the room. She headed to her 'Room' and waited for the guard to open the door. "Thanks." She said curtly as she made her way inside.
Liam sighed, he could feel the anger roll off of Vaughn from behind the bars. "Well I have some consoling arranged for you and I also have someone I think would make a suitable companion. Your new roommate will be Marrin Coprse. They haven't had a roommate in some time and I feel you both will adjust to each other fine. I'm going to open this cell and lead you to your new cell. If you try to resist I will be forced to taser you."

Fiona sighed and laid back on the cart she was sitting on, this was better than work…but not much. She sat up and grabbed one of the books that the guy had said were in here, starting to read it while she waited. She looked up quickly and made sure the rag was still doing its job of keeping the door open, still not noticing it could be seen from the outside.
Vaughn remembered his old roommate. They had happened to make the mistake of putting him with a man charged for child abuse. Well, he had sent the man to the prison hospital center. He had been so close to strangling the man to death when he had been jerked off by guards. “Depends, I assume that you people know who I don’t get along with. If they are like the last one..” he said in a rough tone as he sat up a bit from where he was sitting. He didn’t like a lot of men. But he had always been kinder and more polite to women and children. His own mother had taught him to respect women, and he had always had a soft spot for children.
Zanna managed to sneak out of class. She had heard a commotion but hid away not to get caught. Some fight between two inmates, she really didn't care. Maybe she could get back to her cell except, what was the guard doing here? Looks like the guy in a fight, was in her cell block. She let out a silent sigh as she leaned against a wall out of sight. Guess she was playing the waiting game.
"Don't worry, you remind me of Marrin a tad. Marrin won't be anything like your last roommate." Liam opened the door and un-cuffed Vaughn. The guard quickly re-cuffed the ravenette and lead him to Marrin's cell. "Marrin you've got a visitor, well more like new resident."
Marrin studied his fingernails till a guard decided to interrupt him. "Hey sweetcheeks, I have a surprise for you." The guard said gruffly through the bars of the door. "What is it, Arnold?" Marrin asks, obviously annoyed. "You get a new roommate," Arnold responded, Marrin paused and looked up. "What the literal fuck. You know what I do to people who annoy me, why do you think this person is any different?" He asks the guard with an edge to his voice. Arnold had no response and walked away, knowing it was better to not pick fights with Marrin.

Vaughn had considered striking the guard when the whispers suddenly screamed at him to, but he didn’t. All he had done was flinch from the suddenness of it. He had followed the guard to the cell, and he looked at the man in his cell, seeming wary. He licked his lips again, still tasting the blood.

"Ugh, hello," Marrin says to the man who entered his room. "Who are you and what are your preferred pronouns?" He asked, tilting his head. He hated people but he knew how sucky it felt to be misgendered, he hoped his new roomie wasn't a complete idiot like the last one.
Vaughn didn’t respond for a moment. He simply glared over his shoulder at the guard before tugging his sleeves down. He then looked back at the person who was originally in the cell. He wasn’t much of a talker, and that seemed obvious in the way that he hesitated to respond. After a moment of thought he spoke up, his tone seeming low and rough. “Vaughn Finley, and I’m a male,” he responded before turning away again. He leaned against the bars before he took a step backwards again. After running a hand through his hair, he reached up to touch his nose, whih had also started dripping blood.
Fiona looked up from the book and sighed, there was nothing to do. She stood up and started walking around the small closet, picking things up and putting them on shelves and cleaning the closet.
Liam had done away with Vaughn's cuffs and allowed the ravenette to walk into Marrin's now open cell. He kept a casual hand on the taser if things got frisky.
