Kaiser moved her head to the side, trying to dislodge her hair from the dragon's mouth. "Hey hey now. I know you're hungry and all but I'm not food." Kaiser giggled/chuckled slightly and walked back onto the main path, following the road. "Ya can hide in my backpack if ya wanna sleep. The next town over is a ways away."

She chirped again and snuggled up against Kaiser, having left her hair alone for the moment.

"Aye. I just hope they all don't freak out. Yer just a lil' hatchling after all." Kaiser commented, noticing how the trees began to thin and give way to open pastures and fields.

“Mearup,” Drayce mumbled. Technically her first word - whatever it meant. Blinking up at the big blue sky, she almost fell out of Kaiser’s arms.

"Oh hey yer first–" She quickly adjusted and pulled Drayce back against her chest. "Woah there young one." She was quickly distracted by a cow mooing rather close.

“Moo,” she said, imitating the cow.

Drayce is in another rp of mine and tbh she’s just an overexcited puppy all the time

"Mooooo" Kaiser repeated, seemingly challenging Drayce to a Who-Could-Do-A-Better-Moo contest.

“Moo- oof.” She had tried to stand up and instead fell onto the ground.

Ruby turned to the larger dragon now feeling a pull towards them, "Did that girl just randomly, and totally not for plot convenience and the fact I don't know how to transition this, die?!"

"Oh no honey," Kaiser cooed as she stopped and bent down to pick up Drayce. "Are you alright? Not hurt at all? Oh, but how could you get hurt, you're a fierce dragon!"

The little dragon sniffed her foot and licked it, then looked up at Kaiser and started mooing again.

"Moo. Does it hurt?" Kaiser reached out and gently lifted Drayce's foot, carefully examining it. "It'll be alright. Just a small owwie." Kaiser planted a gentle kiss on Drayce's foot. "There, all better huh?"

“Mearup!” She licked Kaiser’s chin eagerly.

"Heh. I suppose we should get walking again." Kaiser chuckled and lifted up Drayce in her arms again. "We don't wanna be caught out here in the dark when there are farming families around to help us." She explained.

She tilted her head curiously and opened and closed her mouth. A few times, making random noises before saying, “Dark!”

"Dark," Kaiser repeated back to Drayce, in a baby-talk voice. She walked along, noticing the fence become wider and higher, signaling that she was getting close to a gate of sorts.

“Darrrrk,” she sounded out before repeating it a bunch of times in a row. “Dark. Dark! Dark? Dark!”

"Dark dark" Kaiser echoed and booped Drayce on the nose. "You're mostly dark-dark. The color is called black."
