(Sounds good to me.)
(That sounds good)
(ok!)
"Okay, I'm back," Dara said as she entered the tent, Cels' luggage in tow. "Your suitcase was torn open somehow, but some stuff is still inside." She plopped down next to her, yawning. "This adrenaline crash is crazy. I'm exhausted."
Skye saw Dara yawn and then yawned herself. "Darn it. Why do yawns have to be contagious?" she wondered out loud.
"It's actually a sign of empathy," Dara mumbled, cupping her face in her hands. "If someone doesn't yawn when they catch someone else yawning, they just might be a sociopath." She smiled tiredly.
Celestia thanked Dara once again, making sure to look through her things later. She smiled, yawning.
“Even the word ‘yawn’ does the trick,” she added. “When the storm dies down, we could find some strong sticks I could use as crutches.” she mused. “But more importantly, do we have any food?”
"I don't," Skye said sorrowfully. "I wish I did, though, because I'm starving."
Celestia fell silent, thinking of what to do about their situation.
“Maybe there are some fruits around here,” she finally spoke. “If I could move, I would have caught some fish.” She glared at her legs, cursing her luck.
"Well, we have to wait til the storm lets up to find food." Dara grimaced. "Hopefully something edible grows around here."
“We should rest, then,” Celestia suggested. “I got myself a spare blanket, I think. If it hasn’t been destroyed. We could share it.”
Dara shrugged but didn't move closer. She huddled into herself. She suddenly longed for home –for her lab, her brother, her friends, hell, even her mother. To keep her mind of her misery, she blurted, "Where were you going? Before the flight crashed, I mean."
Skye glanced at Dara, unsure if she was talking to her or to Cels.
"Both of you. Either of you." Dara rubbed her hand across her face again. "Sorry. I never explain stuff."
"It's fine! Don't worry about it," Skye assured her quickly. "We're all tired and confused.
I was on my way to my friend's house in Washington."
Dara nodded. "Sounds nice. I was just going back to campus –University of Washington. I was on a study abroad trip."
“It’s okay,” Celestia smiled. “I had some work I had to take care of, so I was going to Netherland. But my flight got canceled and they suggested I take this one to another one to get where I wanted to go.”
"The Netherlands? That's pretty far for work. What do you do?" asked Skye curiously.
"Netherland?" Dara repeated. "Cool. What for?"
Celestia paused, biting her lip.
“I’m a writer and a traveler,” she finally spoke after a moment’s silence. “I lived in Netherland for a while with my sister, but I had to come back to get a bunch of important files I left behind.”
(ill be back in an hour or so I gtg)
"Interesting." Dara leaned forward. "What kind of stuff do you write?"
(Okay, see you then!)
(See ya!)
“Anything that comes to mind, really,” Celestia replied. “What about you? What are you studying?” she quickly shifted the topic, feeling a bit nervous talking about herself.
(Ok I'm back I went to my physics class study group and realized I had a lab report due next week I hadn't started so…yeah…I'm late lol)
"Biology premed," she replied in a halting tone. "I just want to be in the lab right now, honestly. I'm researching the effects of gene therapy on mice."
(Ah shoot I forgot to add something)
Fin sat in the far corner of the tent, rummaging through his suitcase. He added to the conversation, “I was going to Cali. I’ve kinda always wanted to go surfing there. In case you were wondering, no, I have absolutely no experience with surfboards.”
“That sounds nice, and a little tough,” Celestia commented before turning her attention to the guy who spoke up right after her.
“Well, that’s interesting,” she said, smiling. “Trying new things is always fun. I’m Celestia, by the way. I don’t think I caught your name?”
