Her face lit up. "Can we…?"
Her face lit up. "Can we…?"
“I do it all the time,”
"But Bryson… and my mom…" She bit her lip, seeming incredibly hesitant.
"I need a shirt and then I'll help you,"
"Okay. I can get you a shirt if you let me go."
“Hmmm Fine,” he released her from his grip.
She shuffled across the hall and peeked into Bryson's room. He wasn't there. Quietly, she got a shirt and hurried back into her room. "Will this fit?" she asked, holding the shirt out to him.
Darren looked it over and shrugged, “Let’s find out,”
She tossed it at his chest with a grin. "Try it on then."
He chuckled and pulled it over his head. It was a little tight but not horribly so, “I think it fits,”
"Well that's good," she said. "I thought he was about your size."
"It works just fine," he smiled and kissed her cheek, "So what's the plan?"
"Uh…" she faltered. "I don't know."
"Are we going to school or sleeping?" He was starting to see maybe he was a bad influence on her.
"I thought you didn't want to go to school."
"I never want to go to school," he said like it was obvious.
"Then… what are we going to do?" she asked.
"Well if you wanted to go to school, I'd drive us there and be alright. Or if you didn't, we go back to bed,"
"What do you want to do?"
He was about to say something but closed his mouth, no one had ever asked what he wanted. “I… I dunno,”
"Sure you do," she replied gently, approaching him and threading her arms around him in a hug.
He didn’t know what to say, he’s always concerned about forcing other people in to doing something just because he wanted to that he’d silenced his opinions. “No, it’s really up to you. I mean, I don’t want to not go to school and get you in trouble if you didn’t want to,”
"You know what you want. Just say it," she urged, breathing in his smell through Bryson's shirt.
"I… I think we should go…"
"Alright. Then let's go. Where?"
