You know my story started from an idea I had for a roleplay, let's make another roleplay I guess?

A rare genetic mutation has appeared in the last generation, causing some people to be born with strange superpowers. The government saw these individuals as a threat and created a law: anyone with powers would be removed from society entirely. In an attempt to seem benevolent, they moved them to a deserted island rather than just killing them.
This didn't work quite in the way they wanted it to, but who cares, right? The Outcasts aren't their problem anymore, anyway.

SO! Welcome to the universe that's existed in my head since like fifth grade? Maybe sixth? Point is, it's been a hot minute, and I'm excited to share it with Notebook! I just have some rules to go over before y'all join in:
- No Mary Sues/Gary Stus/Generally overpowered characters. Pretty self-explanatory.
- Let's keep it classy. Swearing, violence, and romance are fine, but nothing too explicit(super-detailed gore, sexual content, etc.). Not everybody's cup of tea, y'know?
- Don't control other people's characters. Also, don't just say say "OHH ALL MY ATTACKS HIT GET REKT YOU NOOB 360 NOSCOPED FKSDLVNLKNV" or "I DODGED ALL YOUR ATTACKS LIKE THE NINJA MASTER I AM". Obviously you know your character's skill level, but nobody likes a cheater.
- Decent grammar is appreciated. Sorry, just kind of a pet peeve. I'm not asking for perfection, just capitals when necessary and proper punctuation.
- Stay classy out of character, please. Nobody wants to put up with petty bs.
- LGBTQ+ will always be accepted and appreciated!!

Name: Jax Cora
Gender: Female
Age: 9
Sexuality: Unknown
Appearance: Jax has pale, olive skin and wide, tired-looking gray eyes. She has wavy brown hair with bangs that stop at her eyelids, and the rest of her hair grows to her waist. She's about 4'3, and very thin, and she has still-unhealed scars on either side of her mouth, making her mouth seem twisted into a grotesque grin. To hide that, she tries to cover her face with a mask that covers her mouth and nose.
Personality: Jax is a more withdrawn person, and very emotional, but creative. She's very protective of anybody she cares about, and blames herself if they get hurt.
Powers: Jax has supersonic hearing.
Backstory: Jax was born to unknown parents, who abandoned her early on. She was found by a doctor, who later became her adoptive father. He was killed, and Jax was alone again. She got her scars sometime between her father's death and when she was found.
Name: Leon (Leo) Slatewood
Gender: Male
Age: 6
Sexuality: Too young to have that figured out yet
Appearance: Black hair falling to just above his eyes that is never styled and does anything but cooperate. His skin is sort of a sickly pale, except for certain long pitch black markings on the sides of his forearms. This marks an area of excess skin, not enough to be seen, for his powers, so to speak. His eyes are a brilliant dark ocean blue, holding piles of juvenile charm and innocence. He stands at about 3’11”, and is very skinny.
Personality: Distant and calculating at first but truly a timid, lawful, and hopeful person with a knack for unwanted trouble. He tends to follow rules by anyone who holds authority, and has trouble when he’s gotten two contradicting orders. He has minor anxiety, although always seeming calm and composed.
Powers: The excess pitch black skin on the sides of his forearms can extend and harden into a sort of obsidian blade. (I drew this, if you need a visual :)
Backstory(optional): Leo’s father was no longer even spoke of by the birth of the young child, his mother’s side of the family despising the man. He had left without a second word, leaving Leo’s mother to raise him. Although this expectation never followed suit, as his mother passed away soon after giving birth. Having no one else to turn to, Leo was taken to an orphanage, living a normal life until he was four, when his abilities actually began to show. And thus, he was taken to the island.
Other: He most likely will pick one of the other characters and stick to them, because he can be fiercely loyal at times and tends to stay with those he feels comfortable with. If that’s alright, of course.

Name: Rouge Blaze (pronounced row-g)
Gender: female
Age: 17
Sexuality: lesbian
Appearance: Rouge has a thin willowy build that makes her seem taller than her height of 5' 8" and is abnormally thin as well. Her galactic colored hair is usually cut to about shoulder length with bangs that swoop across her face hiding her right eye at times. Her usual outfit is an over sized hoodie made for a guy with a black tank top underneath, ripped jeans that have leggings under them, dark purple lunarlon converse and color shifting cat ear headphones around her neck. Both of her eyes are galaxy when she uses her ability but she has heterochromia where her right eye is a dark blue and her right eye is permanently galaxy.
Personality: Rouge is insanely outgoing, loyal, bubbly, smart, and young-minded but those are the good things. Aside from those Rouge can be depressive, quiet, shut-out, and all together afraid of losing people so she pushes them away from the get go
Powers: Her ability is to make small breaches into blank space and back or portals as people call them
Backstory(optional): October, 29 2003 was the year she was born but it wasn't just her. She had a twin brother named Alex but their fortune wasn't in his favor because on October 29, 2008 he passed away from a sickness no one knew how to treat. After that she has been living for him and him alone in hopes that someday she will see his smiling face again.
Other: After Alex passed away Rouge stopped celebrating her birthday.
Name: Elliot 'El' Stone

Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: El has Brown eyes, Dark brown hair, and he has glasses. He usually wears dark clothes.
Personality: El is a bundle of 'joy'. He is very sarcastic. He likes to play around with his powers.
Powers: Invisibility

Name: Ashley Sparks
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Ashley has fair skin, bright blue eyes, and curly, fiery red hair that she wears up in a ponytail. She wears a simple outfit of an electric blue zip-up hoodie, jeans, and blue converse. Though her jacket is always zipped, she does have a black tee-shirt on underneath it.
Personality: Ashley is rather naive. She's energetic and excitable, but also quick to assume things about people, good or bad. She also forms bonds with people very quickly and won't hesitate to use force to try and protect them.
Powers: Ashley has control over air and fire, and they're heavily tied to her emotions.
Backstory: Ashley lived a pretty normal childhood until her powers began to show when she was around ten. Her family tried to help her hide them, but because they tended to flare out–literally–when she was feeling a strong emotion, she wound up being homeschooled in an attempt to keep anyone from finding out. This worked until Ashley was sent back to school, where she slipped up and ended up sending another student flying through a window.
Other: Ashley had a friend that was taken away when she was younger that she hopes to find.

Name: Basil Charbonneau (pronounced Baz-il)
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Basil has very fair skin and mono-lid nut brown eyes. His fair is a dark brown which he prefers to have it parted in the middle with most of it away from his eyes. He stands at around five foot nine or one hundred seventy-five point two centimetres. Most of outfits are black or white shirts/sweaters with dark jeans and a light jacket/coat. With that he has on gloves to prevent his skin touching another's. Around his wrist is a sky blue hairband which he might use whenever.
Personality: Basil is a very optimistic and helpful person; it's rare to see him without a little smile on his face. He loves to be around others, despite his power, and listen to whatever anyone says. Although enjoying talking to others, he keeps a lot of himself to himself. Usually Basil thinks a lot before acting or speaking in a situation, he's a ponderer. Secretly, he's always worried about being selfish or not good enough to everyone. Being hesitant, one to hide emotions, and a soft-heart are his major flaws.
Powers: He has the ability to remove senses, such as sight, for a temporary amount of time by touch. This is why Basil always wears gloves or something to cover to his hands. He'll freak out if they fall off or someone tries to take them off.
Backstory(optional): There isn't a lot to Basil when he was born; his parents adopted him when he was around six months old. Even though he loved his adopted parents and two older siblings, in some ways he never felt like he fit in. Most of the time, he spent playing with friends or sitting in a box with a book in his hands. Everything seemed to be fine as time went on yet somethings felt off still. Basil found out about his ability when he was fifteen after trying to shake hands with his fencing opponent. His thoughts relating to this power leans towards hating it and wishing he was a normal being.
