"Don't worry about it." Caire smiled softly, holding onto his hand again. "So… about the play. Who do you think will get the leads?"
"Don't worry about it." Caire smiled softly, holding onto his hand again. "So… about the play. Who do you think will get the leads?"
"Well, you, definitely. They'd be stupid to not give it to you. And probably Leon. He seems like the most experienced without being an outsider like me."
Jack held her even closer, "Why are you sorry? You've done nothing wrong."
Paige closed her eyes, but opened them quickly, only seeing her mother's delighted expression behind her eyelids.
"Well, you were really good. You might get it anyways. Who knows? We won't be able to tell until the cast list gets posted."
Jack kept holding her, "Something wrong Paige?"
"My mom…" Paige murmured.
He shrugged. "Doubtful. But it's nice to hear you think that."
Caire smiled. "You were great up there. I wouldn't be surprised if you got the role."
Jack sighed, "Yeah, that would be a thing."
"I would be. But you will. There's no doubt about that." He smiled.
"She's enjoying this. She likes it." Paige's breathing began to even out.
"Isn't that a good thing?" Jack asked slightly confused.
"No! That will mean that she thinks I like attention," Paige thought aloud, panicking.
Jack rubbed her back and looked into her eyes, "Woah. Slow down, we don't know that yet."
"We'll just have to see then, hmm?" Caire looked up at the stage, the lights bouncing off of her and making her hair and eyes practically sparkle.
Brendon took off his hat long enough to throw his fringe out of his face, fixing it in place and replacing his hat. "Yeah, I guess we will."
Jack rubbed her back and looked into her eyes, "Woah. Slow down, we don't know that yet."
Paige calmed slightly at his touch, but adrenaline still rushed through her. "No, it is. I know the way she thinks. She doesn't hide the way she feels."
(Adrenaline)
Jack let out a sad smile, "Well, I don't know what else to say."
"I've always liked it in here. There's usually not too many people, and I get a chance to be someone else for once."

(Thanks!)
(Np lol)
Jack let out a sad smile, "Well, I don't know what else to say."
Paige leaned into him again. "Then don't say anything."
Jack rested his head on her as he held her tighter, "Okay."
"It's nice, isn't it? I always make up stories and act out the characters in my head when I'm sad or upset. It's nice to not have to be yourself with all your problems for a minute."
