Elias ruffled her hair with a smile. He reluctantly stepped to the side once they got to the front of the line and let her order. He pulled out his debit card and handed it to Sophia.
She hesitantly took the card, already knowing the code. She smiled at the cashier, ordering before paying, getting Elias the coffee he normally ordered, knowing his order off by hand.
Elias took his card back once she paid and tucked it back into his wallet. He put it back in his pocket. He looked around the coffee shop. "Where do you want to sit?" He asked her.
"You choose" she replied, walking up next to him as he put his card in his pocket. Her gaze traced his body, noticing different about his stance. It could just be her though.
Elias took a seat in the corner, where it was less crowded. He wasn't particularly found of crowded places, besides the occasional club or party. He slung his arm across the chair beside him, stretching out slightly.
She took the seat across from him, taking a bite out of her breakfast. She looked up at him, smiling softly as she took a drink from her cup. "So, we just have to get through today and we'll be done for a week" she purred, covering her mouth as she chewed.
Elias nodded. "What are you planning on doing for the break? Going anywhere?" He asked. He brought his coffee to his lips and took a sip of it.
"I was planning on getting some studying done since everything is gonna be so quiet because everyone's away, " she replied, catching his gaze as she spoke and he sipped his coffee.
Elias took another sip before speaking. "We could go somewhere if you wanted. Anywhere, within budget of course." He added a small smile.
"That'd be nice" she replied, not really knowing where she'd want to go. She hadn't really thought of it up to this point, but she hadn't really ever been outside where she grew up.
Elias smiled wider. "Good. I expect you'll have found a place to go to by tonight, before the party, that way we can pack tomorrow and go." He finished his coffee.
"Alright, you're gonna have to help me though" she replied, finishing off her breakfast and taking another sip of her coffee as she held their gaze. She was excited about the party, she needed to drink a little because of all the things that had been going on lately.
"Do you want to go camping someplace? Or go on a road trip? Or is there anywhere particular you'd like to go or see?" Elias asked
"I like hiking, so someplace we could go hiking and then cliff diving would be cool. Someplace warm so we can be in the water" she replied, her eyes sparkling as she talked about it.
Elias smiled as he watched her. "So you want to go camping somewhere?" He asked. "I'm pretty sure there's a couple good national parks a few hours away. I can look into it."
"If we could rent a trailer for a week that'd be cool too," she replied, smiling brightly at him as she spoke. She hadn't been spending much recently, only necessities so if they wanted to splurge a tiny bit of the vacation they could.
"I'll look into prices after class." Elias said. "Are you ready to go to class? You have about ten minutes until it starts." He said, grabbing his backpack off the floor.
"That'd be a good idea" she replied, smiling as she got up and got her bag, throwing her garbage out and taking her coffee with them, holding the door for them as they walked to classes.
Elias stood and threw away his empty coffee cup. His hand returned to the small of her back as they walked. He stopped in front of her classroom door. "I'll text you the details later." He said.
She smiled at him before walking into her class, greeting a few classmates and her professor before taking her seat.
(Time skip to after school?)
(Sure)
Elias waited by Sophia's last class of the day. His class had ended about an hour ago so he had gone and grabbed both of them something for lunch. He leaned against the wall, his poetry book in his hand once more.
Her class soon let out, her, naturally being the last one out as always, spotted Elias at the door, waving him over to where she was.
Elias shut his book and walked over to her. "Back to the dorms or is there somewhere else you want to go?" He asked.
"Back to the dorms would be good so we can get ready for the party" she replied, zipping up her bag and walking out with him.
Elias turned, walking next to her. He glanced down at what he was wearing. "I don't really need to change." He said.
