Jules strolled up to the nearest worker. "S'cuse me sir."
The man turned around. "What."
"Do you know who own's this fine vessel?" Jules gestured to the ship.
"Yep." The man grunted. "Just walk up the ramp you'll find him."
(OMG START A LIFE ALREADY)
Lilith watched the exchange with curiosity, despite being cautious, and looked up the ramp to the little shuttle. She started to walk up the shuttle ramp slowly.
"Thank you." Jules said, then hurried after her.
He was friendly…
Sure he was. We might be working with him. She paused a little, waiting up for Jules.
(maybe a little too friendly…..)
Jules caught up and slipped her hand in her's. I hope not.
Lilith squeezed his hand and started walking again, keeping pace with Jules. Who knows, honestly.
"So…who exactly are we looking for? He didn't exactly give us a description…"
"He said right up this ramp. So maybe just…" Lilith looked around. "There's someone up there." She pointed at a figure slipping out of the ship with a rag in their hand.
They were pretty short with tufty brown hair stained with black, and they were wearing cargo shorts with a leather jacket. From her frame and leg shape, she was probably a woman.
Jules nodded and went over to her, clearing his throat. "S'cuse me ma'am."
She turned to look at him over his shoulder and turned around completely. Her eyes were a sharp brown and she wore spectacles.
"Yes, runt?" Her voice was hoarse and powerful.
Jules clenched his jaw and let the insult slide. "We were wondering if you would give us a job on your ship?"
She crossed her arms and leaned against the shuttle. "Sure, can either of you lift up to fifty pounds?"
"I can," Lilith answered unsurely.
"You don't look like you can."
"Oh don't worry she can." Jules nodded. "And yes, so can I."
She crossed her arms, scrutinizing the pair. "Alright, I'll let you join. How much you two lovebirds want for pay?"
Is it really that obvious?
"At least 20 Tidars for every working hour."
