"What's the name on the order?" Kasumi asked, looking up at the girl from under her lashes as she bent down to search under the counter.
"What's the name on the order?" Kasumi asked, looking up at the girl from under her lashes as she bent down to search under the counter.
“K-Kaitlin Towers…” She said, rubbing her arm.
"Towers, Towers… Ah, here it is!" Kasumi exclaimed, grabbing a package. "this was prepaid, so if you could just sign this receipt, you're all set!" she smiled at Kaitlin.
“Thank you.” She said, taking the pen from the counter and scribbling down her signature.
"Could I also get your number?" Kasumi asked, taking the signed receipt from her and passing over the package.
“W-What? Oh.. um… s-sure.” Kaitlin blushed slightly and wrote down her number in a piece of paper, handing it to the girl.
"Thanks!" Kasumi said with a bright smile. "Are you free tonight, say, seven-ish?"
“Oh,” Kaitlin knew sneaking out would cause trouble but… “Sure, w-where do you want me to meet you?”
"There's a lovely little coffee shop down the street that stays open late," Kasumi replied. "It's called Another Shot, does that sound alright?"
Kaitlin nodded, “That sounds great. Sorry, I-I didn’t catch your name. If I’m going on a date I’d like to know her name.”
"Kasumi," she told her, holding out her hand. "It's lovely to make your acquaintance."
“Lovely to meet you too, Kasumi.” Kaitlin replied, shaking the others hand.
"So, I'll see you tonight?" Kasumi asked with a wink.
Kaitlin blushed, “Y-Yeah, I’ll see you later.” She replied, taking the parcel in her arms.
Kasumi smiled, "Great! See ya then!" she wiggled her fingers in a wave as Kaitlin walked out of the shop.
Stars, that one's a cutie…
(time skip?)
(Sure thing)
Kaitlin took a deep breath as she snuck out of the house. She’d opted for her best pink shirt and jeans, along with a jacket that covered her arms. Luckily her family didn’t hear her and soon she set out to the coffee shop.
Kasumi was already at the coffee shop sitting in a plush chair in the corner by the fireplace. She was wearing black jeans, a loose, cropped, cream-colored sweater, revealing her muscular abdomen, and her customary combat boots. When she saw Kaitlin come in, she stood up and waved her over.
Kaitlin smiled a little and walked over, “Hiya.” She said. It was only now that she realised she was a lot smaller then Kasumi, having to look up at her. Maybe it was because Kaitlin was wearing flat shoes but she still looked small.
Kasumi smiled and pecked Kaitlin on both cheeks, a standard greeting where she was from.
"Heya! Want to go order?" she asked, tilting her head. "I know all the best drinks here if you need any recommendations."
Kaitlin rubbed her arm, “Y-Yeah, I think I need some recommendations. I’ve never actually been here before.” She replied, turning a little on the spot so she could take in the shop.
"Hmmm…" Kasumi hummed contemplatively as she watched Kaitlin look around adorably. "Do you prefer more creamy drinks or more coffee drinks? Or tea?"
“Teas alright, but I normally drink water.” Kaitlin said turning back to Kasumi.
"Would you be willing to try something new, then?" Kasumi asked.
“Oh, s-sure. Why not.” Kaitlin gave Kasumi a small smile.
Kasumi smiled in return. "The great thing about this place is they also have a few kinds of boba tea," she said. "You should try either the mango or strawberry boba."
