"I'm fine. Are you okay?" Luna asked, and accepted the girls hand. She stood up to thank the girl, but stopped short when she saw her face. The target. Her target. Luna stumbled backwards, and reached for her cuffs.
"I'm fine. Are you okay?" Luna asked, and accepted the girls hand. She stood up to thank the girl, but stopped short when she saw her face. The target. Her target. Luna stumbled backwards, and reached for her cuffs.
"I'm fine as well, just relieved that I hadn't hurt you." Eve smiled at the girl, "Well, I must return to my work. I hope you don't mind but I must excuse myself." She turned to walk away.
Luna was momentarily stunned, but quickly followed the girl. Whipping out her handcuffs, she snatched the girls hands, and put them behind her back, cuffing her. She whispered in her ear, "I'm sorry,"
"Wait, what's going on?" Eve looked panicked as she tried to turn around to see who was cuffing her. "Please don't do this. I'm sorry for whatever I did!" She begged her attacker, not knowing it was the girl she'd just bumped into.
"Juest be quiet and play along," Luna whispered, and pushed her through the door. Once they were in the alleyay, she uncuffed Eve. "I'm a bounty hunter. You were my target. But you don't seem like the kind of person who is a target. So I'm letting you go," She said.
(u there?)
Eve backed away from her slowly and held up her hands in defense with a look of pure fear on her face. "I-What do you want from me? What did I do?" She asked as tears began to form in her eyes. "Please don't hurt me."
Luna softened. "I won't hurt you. Someone posted a bounty for you, I think it was your Father. I was sent to capture you. But I won't," Luna turned, a started to walk away.
"Why would he do that to me?" Eve's voice cracked and she started sobbing, falling to her knees and clutching her stomach in despair. "Please, please, please." She whispered over and over, not wanting to believe that her father was the one who'd placed a bounty over her head.
Luna felt her heart crack, and tears welled in her eyes. She knelt down nextto the girl, and wrapped her arms around her. "Shhhhh. it's going to be alright,"
Eve continued to sob, falling into the other girl's embrace, feeling comforted even though the girl had just tried to kidnap her. "What will happen to you if you don't do what my father asked of you?" She asked in between shaky breaths, tears still streaming down her face.
"Nothing too bad. Don't worry about it," Luna said, tears starting to fall from her own eyes as well.
"But you've shown me mercy. I don't want you to be punished." Eve sniffled and tried to pull herself together. "Please. You can take me to my father. I don't want you to bear what my father has in mind." Tears were still falling from her eyes, but she had stopped sobbing for the most part.
"No." Luna said sternly , but kindly. "I won't let that happen. Do you have somewhere to stay tonight?" Luna asked, concerned.
(U there?)
(sorry…)
"No, I don't. But I'll find somewhere." Eve hiccuped and wiped her tears away. "What am I going to do?" She whispered and tears began to fill her eyes again.
"I don't know, I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. You're welcome to stay at my apartment, if you want."
"I don't want to be a burden. You've already done so much for me." Eve responded and looked into the girl's eyes. "I'm sorry."
"You are not a burden," Luna said, and offered Eve her hand. "You are a gift,"
"As is your generosity. Thank you for everything you've done." Eve sniffled and wiped at her eyes once more.
"No problem. I may be a bounty hunter, but my personality certainly doesn't match my profession," Luna replied, laughing. She helped the girl up, and headed to her apartment.
Eve followed the other girl because she wasn't really sure where to go or what to do now. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude but I just realized that I never asked your name?"
"It's Luna. Yours?"
"Thank you for being so willing to help me Luna, my name's Eve."
"Your welcome," Luna said, staring into Eve's eyes. She opened her apartment door, and dropped her keycard into a small bowl. Her apartment was a little shabby, and small, but it was what she could afford. The walls were a dusty gray, and had a few cracks. There were four rooms, a small kitchen, bathroom, living area, and bedroom. In an effort to make it more cheery, Luna had hung photos on the walls, and painted her doors with swirling pastel designs.
