A man ran up and stabbed me as I was investigating the alleyway. My partner ran up, just as the attacker ran off. "[Insert name here]! Oh god, oh god." they say, tearing off a piece of their shirt and pressing it on the wound. "Keep pressure on that wound, I'm calling an ambulance right now." they say, dialing the number. "Wait, I'm probably going to die so I need to say this." I say. "What? What is it?" they ask, their face white as a sheet. "I love you. Oh god, I love you so much. I haven't told you, which was the worst decision of my life as I might die here tonight. But if I die, I want to have said that." I tell them, my vision blurring. "I….. I….." they start to cry. "I love you too. You're going to live, I know you will. You're not leaving me now!" they say.
