Ru was so fucking tired. He felt like collapsing onto his half-made bed in despair, shocked by how much work it was to move into a dorm. The room was way too tiny to be worth this much effort, but he soldiered on so his roommate (Whoever that was) wouldn't believe he was a total slob. He was, but that really wasn't the point. The point was that the dean of students was one incident short of kicking him out completely and had been dropping hints that he'd be out faster than he could say 'fuck you' if he caused any more trouble.
Sam walked into his room after biology class, hoping to meet his new roommate. "Hi" he said as he closed the door silently, without a sound he walked behind his new roommate
Ru just grunted, trying to get his fitted sheet over the final corner of his bed. After a couple minutes, he finally did it, collapsing on the bed with a groan. "Hi," He whispered breathily, remembering that he had to be nice.
"Whats your name?" he asks, flopping in to his desk chair with a sigh of relief. "Im Samuel, you can call me Sam""
"Cerulean. Most people call me Ru though." He shrugged and rubbed his hands down his face. After a few moments, he stood, grabbing one of his newer posters from the closest box and pinning it to the ceiling. It was a beautifully drawn mearmaid with her hair fanning behind her.
"Thats beautiful" Sam breathed, starig at the poster. Sam had always had been interested in mythical creatures
Ru bit his lip to conceal his grin. His last roommate had hated her and had threatened to rip her into pieces if she wasn't taken down. He realized he would be expected to answer. "Thanks, uh, I call her Emma." He blushed. Normal people didn't name their posters.
"You name your posters too?!" The boy asked, happy he wasnt the only one
He pointed to a poster above his bed, one featuring a man with eyes full of starlight "I call him Nyx, The Star Prince!"
Ru smiled. "That's a nice name. It's… nice to meet you." He awkwardly stuck out a hand for Sam to shake, a small smile on his face.
