(Whoops! Sorry, I missed you by a lot, I guess! I had to do something and it went late.)
Amethyst tapped her pencil against the table as she studied her paper. Noticing a few mistakes, she quickly circled and corrected them so that she would know to change them before she printed out her final draft. She bit her lip again as she searched for more, ignoring the guy across from her.
((Lol don't worry about it! I'm pretty busy a lot too, I understand ^^))
Seth quickly finished up writing his paper. He quickly read over it, checking for any obvious errors. There were none that he could find. He checked his phone for the time- ten minutes until his music theory class started. As he put away his papers, he noticed from looking out the window that it was pouring rain. He sighed, hoping if he ran he wouldn't get too wet. He slung his bag over his shoulder and started to walk out of the library.
(I've actually got to go for today, but I'll be back tomorrow or Monday.)
((Okie dokie! Have a good day!))
(I have time for one post before I have to go.)
Amethyst looked up as the guy across from her stood and walked away. As she did so, she noticed the rain and cringed inwardly. She glanced at her phone, checking the time, and noticed that she was going to be late for meeting her roommate/best friend. They were going to lunch, and Katie would kill her if she was late again. She quickly gathered her things and rushed past the young man on her way out the door.
(Just gonna keep this alive.)
((OMG I NEVER GOT THE NOTIFICATION!!! I'LL RESPOND NOW, SORRY!!!!))
(XD Lol, it's totally fine!)
Seth watched as the young woman rushed past him. "Apparently it's a busy time for everyone" he thought as he neared the doors of the building. He cringed a little, then pushed open the doors. He walked out into the rain, then started to run. He wasn't worried about himself as much as his guitar. He hoped it would be okay as he sprinted toward the building.
Amethyst called Katie as quickly as she could, still racing through the rain to her car.
"Ohmygosh, Katie, I'm so sorry, but I was writing my paper in the library and it took me longer than I expected, and now it's raining and I'm trying to get to my car, and I'm running late now, so I'll probably be there five to ten minutes late, I'm so sorry!" she babbled, holding her paper to her chest with one hand and her phone to her ear with the other.
The voice on the other end laughed. "It's fine, Ames. Just get over here quickly but safely, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, of course. I'll see you soon, then."
"See you soon," Katie said, hanging up.
Amethyst sighed and put the phone in her pocket, then reached for her keys.
Wait.
Where were her keys?
Dang it!!! I left them in the library!
((Oh, sorry! I had my friend over yesterday and I got off so we could watch a movie.. My apoligies!))
As Seth ran by he noticed the same girl that was at the table in the library was fumbling around by her car. Despite not wanting to get any more wet, he jogged over to where she was and asked, "Is everything okay?" She seemed to be looking for something, and he wondered if there was any way he could help.
(Lol, it's totally fine. Don't worry about it.)
Amethyst looked up, seeing the same guy who had at across from her in the library.
"Yeah, yeah. I just left my keys in the library and I'm already late to meet my friend for lunch," she explained, turning to make her way back.
"If you want, I can save you the extra trip and go get them for you," he asked. He felt like he kinda owed her for allowing him to sit at the table in the library, even though it was kinda stupid.
"No, no. It's fine," Amethyst assured him, shaking her head. "I'm Amethyst, by the way. I don't seem to recall catching your name…"
"Amethyst, that's a pretty name. I'm Seth." He gave a small wave as he said his name, just another one of his various quirks.
A bit of color rose to Amethyst's cheeks at the small compliment. She wasn't used to people complimenting her, but that was probably because she generally preferred to be by herself.
"Nice to meet you, Seth," she said, giving him a small smile. "Um… I wouldn't mind company walking back to the library."
"Nice to meet you, too. And I have some time to spare." He smiled back at her, noticing how she blushed at the compliment. "God, she looks cute when she blushes," he thought to himself as he turned to walk back to the library with her.
"So… What're you studying?" Amethyst asked as they walked back to the library. Her hair was nearly soaked by the continual downpour by now.
"I'm studying music. It's my dream to be a musican or conducter one day. What about you?" Noticing how soaked she was, he took off his jacket and held it out in offering to her. "It probably wont do much, but it might help some," he said.
Amethyst took the jacket with a grateful smile.
"Thanks. I'm actually studying pre-law. My mom always said I should be a lawyer, and it actually seemed like it would be a cool job, so… Here I am," she explained with a shrug.
"No problem. You seem like the lawyer type. In a good way!" He added the last part after he realised it sounded bad. He smiled a little bit after she took his jacket, glad that she accepted it and seemed to be opening up a little, instead of just brushing him off like earlier.
(Hi! Sorry, I was at work!)
"No, no. Trust me, it's not necessarily always in a good way," Amethyst assured him, laughing slightly. "I'm pretty intense, sometimes."
((Hi! Don't worry about it, I have school and other crap like that, so I always respond late too, lol))
"Well, that just adds character," he looked at her as he spoke. "Better than being called 'emo scum', or I'd assume so." He laughed a little bit himself.
(Lol. Well, I've got both school and a job now — whee — so it's a bit more difficult to juggle things. :P)
Amethyst glanced over at him through the corner of her eye.
"Do people call you that?" she asked, then flinched before apologizing, "Sorry, you don't have to answer that."
