"Clara, Spider boy, stay in the TARDIS. Missy, with me!" the Doctor said, pulling her along.
"Clara, Spider boy, stay in the TARDIS. Missy, with me!" the Doctor said, pulling her along.
"Spider man." Peter muttered.
"Spider Man can't be your real name. Don't worry, you can tell me." Clara grinned. Missy grudgingly allowed herself to be dragged along by the Doctor.
"It's Peter, Peter Parker." He said grinning a little.
"Peter. It's a good name. Let's follow them." Clara said, nodding her head towards the exit.
Peter walked out the door of the TARDIS. "Where'd they go?"
"No idea. But if we go looking for trouble, eventually we'll find them. Come on!" she smiled.
Peter swung up to the top of the building, spied the doctor a couple blocks away, and came back down again next to Clara. "That way." He said, pointing down an alleyway.
"Okay, let's follow him. Quickly!" she said. "Oh, and try to outrun the Nightmare Men if you can." she added. The shadowy creatures needed a name, and that name certainly did have a nice ring to it.
"Nightmare Men." He said, imitating her accent fairly well.
"Let's just go." she said, running off.
Peter followed Clara, tripping over things on the way.
Clara ran past some dustbins and nearly bumped into something that was made entirely of scissors and associated sharp blades. "The Scissor Man. Like from children's stories! What's it doing here?" Clara asked, mostly talking to herself. It was one of the Nightmare Men, of course.
"Geez, what kind of children's stories did you hear?!" Peter said.
"The great tall tailor always comes to little boys-or girls, or children in general depending on the translation- who suck their thumbs. He cuts their thumbs clean off and then-" she recited, but stopped. "You can't be real. But I suppose that anything is possible. Annnnnd, you're probably only real because of the dreams. So, therefore, you are not real." she told it. "But you're being brought to life. By the dreams. Dreams are coming true." she said, her face beginning to show signs of worry and fear. "Peter, run." she grabbed his hand and pulled him along.
"I never knew England's children were raised like that. What other creepy childhood stories do you know?" He talked fast as they ran.
"Well, Sleeping Beauty is a slightly less glamorous story than how Disney portrays it, for starters. But we don't have time for this! We need to go, now!"
"I'm not very good at running, plus this is faster." He said, picking up Clara(despite his looks, he's very strong.) and shooting a web to the building at the end of the alleyway. They swung through the air and landed at the building seconds later, putting a great distance between them and the Scissor demon thing.
"On balance, I prefer running." Clara said, feeling sick.
Peter set her down and looked at her a little confused. "You fly in a box."
"It's not exactly a box, you may recall."
Peter huffed and kept walking, the doctor and Missy in the distance.
"Doctor!" Clara shouted, running up to them.
"Again with the running.." Peter grumbled, swinging after Clara.
"Clara, what did I tell you!? Get back to the TARDIS, now!" the Doctor huffed.
