The woman glanced up, her attention caught, and beamed. “Hi there, Oliver. Did you enjoy your visit?”
The woman glanced up, her attention caught, and beamed. “Hi there, Oliver. Did you enjoy your visit?”
“I did!” He smiles back, before he can stop himself, the next couple of words leave his mouth in a rush, “The kid in there, the older one, Met…is he…open for adoption?” He asks curiously
The lady shifted in her seat to see Oliver better over the monitor. “Met? Oh, yes, lf course he is! He’s absolutely dying to get adopted. He’s such a sweet boy, but he has a… different opinion of women.”
“Different opinion?” He tilts his head slightly, he doesn’t see this as much of a problem for the time being, since he just got out of a relationship, with a male, but in the future he wanted to know what to expect.
She hummed and nodded. “He’s rather afriad of them. He always jumps when one sneaks up on him or enters his room without warning. We think he might’ve been abused somehow by one, because he has burn scars on his chest. We had found this out when he was a child. They!re probably still there.”
He nods quietly and looks through the small window at the children running around, Oliver loved small children but there was something about Met. He needed someone, and soon, “I don’t currently have a woman in the house…and I’d love to have Met as my..son.”
The woman beamed warmly. “That’s wonderful! I’m sure he’ll be very happy to go home with you.”
Oliver looks back at the group of children, “should I go let him know, or will you?”
The lady hummed. “I can page him over, or you can go over there and tell him yourself. It’ll take a few days for your registration to go through, but he’ll need that time to pack. Ir’s now or never.”
He pats the counter, “I’ll go do the honors myself, thank you for your help ma’am!” Oliver quickly strides back into the room and towards Met
The lady nodded and beamed. “Have a good one!”
Met glanced up when Oliver approached him quickly, though he didn’t move away.
“Hey, kid” Oliver says, trying to appear more levelheaded and not as excited as he usually is, in order to not overwhelm him, “so, I’ve decided upon something…and, if you’re okay with it, I’d love to welcome you into my house”
Met perked up a little and looked down at the young’uns, who glanced up and started hopping around.
“Not them? Me?”
(May I stalk?)
(May I stalk?)
(Of course!)
(yayyy, thx!)
Oliver nods, a large grin on his face, “You! The Friendly Giant!”
Met grinned a little. “Really? Why me?”
The kids shrieked happily at Met’s feet, then giggled wildly.
“Well,” Oliver looks down at the younger kids before looking back up, “i know what it’s like to not have parents as a teenager” he smiles, “plus you have such a captivating personality”
(Isn’t his name Oliver?)
Met wanted to laugh. His personality was much less than captivating, but he decided not to correct the adult.
“I guess it’s a good reason, then. I’d love to go back with you.”
(Shiz, oops, haha sorry, I’m in like a lot of rps)
Oliver inwardly cheers, “great! That’s fantastic!”
(I am too, tbh)
Met smiled a little, feeling nervous but excited. No one has ever wanted to takr him home, or adopt him.
“It’ll be great!”
“Well it’ll take a few days for everything to go through…” he figures he should adress his single status, “and you don’t mind that it’ll just be me as your dad, right?”
Met nodded. He was aware of the time it took.
“That’s fine. I don’t mind living with just one parent.” In fact, Met preferred it.
He lets out a small sigh of relief, “great” he ruffles Mets hair, “Get packed up and ready to leave soon”
