Skye took a deep breath as she stared down at the unopened envelope in her hands. She sat alone in a booth at a coffee shop, an untouched cup of coffee sitting in front of her. Why was this so hard? It was a letter to herself from herself. Well, to her current self from her future self. Maybe that's what it was: she was nervous to find out what was inside.

She'd received the letter last month, on her birthday, but she hadn't been able to open it until now. Well, she still wasn't opening it, but she was getting around to it.

Micah had received his letter only a few weeks ago. He had opened it as soon as he had gotten the chance, but hadn't done anything with it since then. He carried the letter around in his pocket everywhere he went. Despite all of this, he never brought it up. Micah liked to pretend that the letter didn't exist. A letter from his future self…that was impossible right? It must have been a prank or something. Maybe his sister wrote it as a joke.

Raven took a deep breath as she stared at the unopened envelope. She was alone in her dorm room. Why the hell did this have to be so hard? She was finally able to gather herself together and tore open the letter.

Reaching out a shaking hand for her drink, Skye accidentally tipped the cup over, spilling the hot contents all over the tabletop. It dripped down onto the floor, and Skye stood up quickly.

"Ah, crap," she muttered under her breath, grabbing some napkins to wipe up the mess. She'd managed to save the paper that she held in her hand, and she folded it before sticking it into her pocket.
