(Awesome, thank you so much! I'll have my character up later tomorrow or on Friday)
(Thanks!! Mine will be up soon!)
(Same here! I’ll attempt to get it up tomorrow!)
(I felt like procrastinating my homework for a bit lol, but anyways here's my boy):
Name: Caspian (Cas) Morrow
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Year: 11
Species: Siren
Powers: Siren song (he rarely uses it unless he feels threatened/it's a life or death situation), aquatic breathing, and he also has the ability to grow a long, magnificent mermaid-like tail when swimming (his hands also become webbed and gain razor-sharp claws), above-average night-vision
Appearance: Caspian is lean and stands at 5'8", has stormy sea-grey eyes, an olive skin tone, and long, silky dark auburn hair that he normally keeps up in a ponytail or loose bun. He has a long, jagged scar across his nose that stands out against his skin. He wears glasses (near-sighted) and when he's not wearing his Nevermore uniform, he can be found wearing jeans and comfy oversized hoodies. He doesn't smile very often, but when he does it's bright and full of genuine happiness. He always wears a simple-looking silver necklace that's shaped like a manta ray curled around a beautiful dark green-black pearl at its center. This necklace was a gift from his parents before they sent him off to Nevermore; it's a family heirloom that's been passed on for generations, and he never takes it off
Personality: Cas is very shy and reserved and has a talent for blending into the background; it surprises him whenever someone comes up and talks to him since he's so used to people just ignoring him. He doesn't fit in with the other sirens as he lacks the pride, confidence, and extrovertive nature that the rest of them have, but he's fine with that. Cas loves reading and consuming knowledge, and he would live in Nevermore's library if he could. Whenever he does open up to someone and/or deems someone good and trustworthy enough to be his friend, it's like he becomes an entirely different person; he talks more, smiles more, shows affection, tells jokes, and overall just becomes an incredibly enjoyable person to be around. Caspian enjoys learning, exploring/wandering the school grounds, and sneaking out every so often to stargaze at night when the sky is clear enough. He's very loyal, kind, and friendly despite his awkward and quiet exterior
Strengths: Swimming, studying, very intelligent, being incredibly observant, blending in, eavesdropping, finding hidden objects (no one stands a chance against him at scavenger hunts), singing although he's very self-conscious about it and only does it when he thinks no one else is around, playing the piano and violin
Weaknesses: Caffeine (this boy pulls so many unnecessary all-nighters that he depends on coffee like its life support), insomnia, forgets to eat often, lacks self-confidence, isn't good at starting or continuing conversations, uses having a constant flow of schoolwork as a coping mechanism to being deprived of friends and to also force his mind to focus on busywork rather than the intense loneliness that gnaws at him daily
Bringing in a friend to stalk! :D

(Yayyyy!)
Larissa Weems looked at her reflection and smoothed a section of her hair. She pursed her lips to accentuate her bold red lipstick and narrowed her eyes. This was the moment she had to look flawless. Presentable. Attention-grabbing.
It was the start of the school year, and as the principal of Nevermore, it was Larissa’s job to deliver that start-of-term address to the student body. The courtyard was lined with chairs that were occupied by outcast students and normie students alike. But there was a palatable divide, and Larissa hoped that the new inclusion initiative would help boost outcast-normie relations by the end of the year. It seemed to be off to a good start, but there was still lingering tension between the two groups.
A knock at the door interrupted the headmistress from her thoughts. Sighing to herself, Larissa turned away from the mirror and faced the door. “Come in,” she replied.
The door opened, and a sweet auburn-haired woman with large, black cat-eye glasses entered the room. The newly hired botanical sciences teacher Marilyn Thornhill was part of the inclusion initiative. Marilyn was a normie who Larissa had met a month or two ago after the former had originally moved to Jericho. They’d gotten to talking, Larissa had explained her position at Nevermore and her efforts to mend the relationship between normies and outcasts. Marilyn was eager to help. Now, she would forever be known as Nevermore Academy's first normie teacher.
Marilyn offered her signature charming smile as a way of greeting. “Ms. Weems, the students are ready for you.”
Larissa took a deep breath and nodded. “Alright. Thank you, Marilyn. And I’ve told you before, feel free to call me Larissa.”
An embarrassed blush rose on the other woman’s face. “Right. Larissa. Sorry.”
The principal gave a tight-lipped smile in return. She was worried about the speech, more specifically the school year. If the normies and outcasts couldn’t get along inside Nevermore’s walls with her supervision, how would it look to the public? What would the encounters look like in Jericho, or further outside Nevermore’s range of admissions?
She strode out of her office with her tall frame significantly dominating the shorter Marilyn in her shadow. Her heels only added to her already 6 foot 3 height. Still, Larissa was more focused on presenting herself to worry about if the other woman could keep up.
Lyra sat in a folding chair, looking at the students that surrounded her. Students mingled and chatted with each other, laughing and smiling. There was a slight wind that blew across the courtyard, making Lyra shiver.
Lyra gripped the edge of her skirt, her hand clenching so tight that it was aching with every growing minute. Deep breaths, Ly. She told herself. She was excited for the new year to start, of course, but she was also dreading it. Who will my roommate be?? Lyra was told it could be same as last year or different this year. Either way, she was nervous.
She took a deep breath in, and then let it out slowly. She glanced around the courtyard, eyeing the little corners and crevices covered in shadows with an envious look and deeply wished that she could go hide.
As more students piled into the courtyard, filling the seats and adding to the noise, Lyra bobbed her knees up and down, anxiously waiting for whatever what was going to happen to start.
(Was that long enough? Idk how long you want it to be haha-)
(Also my brain is kind of dead lol)
Caspian had chosen a spot to sit near the back of the courtyard, his sea-grey eyes staring out thoughtfully at the crowd of students surrounding him. When you got past the loneliness, being an outsider was almost enjoyable; you have the ability to see people being themselves, socializing, and at ease, and you don't have to worry about making things awkward or having to do any of the socializing yourself. There was something almost peaceful about just merely being an observer.
Cas subconsciously fiddled with the silver necklace around his neck, finding the familiar smooth texture of the pearl secured inside of it soothing. Being out here surrounded by other people wasn't so bad, but meeting his roommate would be a different story. He had no idea who it would be, given that this was his first year here. Having to be in such close proximity to another person almost every day kind of ruined Caspian's plan of just getting through the school year without talking to anyone.
Maybe that's why Mom and Dad sent me here, he thought, not putting it past his parents to gladly seize any opportunity they could to find to attempt to have their only son make friends. He knew that they had good intentions, but he didn't see the problem with being a loner again. It was the same in every school he had ever attended, so why should this one be any different?
He fidgeted in his seat slightly, frowning at his school uniform. It wasn't the worst thing to wear, but it was an unpleasant contrast from his usual attire of soft, comfortable hoodies and sweatpants. Nevermore would definitely be an adjustment.
Cas watched with wonder and a healthy amount of dread as more students poured into the courtyard, although he noticed with some mild amusement and relief that the seat next to him was still empty. He adjusted the glasses on his face that were sliding down on his nose a bit with a sigh. He knew he needed a new pair soon, he just hadn't gotten around to reminding his parents about it. Still mindlessly fidgeting with the necklace, he continued to look around at the other students. Even if he had very little hopes of interacting with any of them, it was still good to start memorizing faces, and a small, traitorous part of him held onto the belief that this year could be the year he actually made a friend. Cas was doubtful, but still…maybe this school was different than the others.
(Love this ides. Stalking!)
noice
( @-LemonTail- your response is fine! Just waiting for a few more initial responses before I post again as Larissa :))
Piper stalked into the courtyard and chose to sit in a spot at the back, glowering at everyone. She still didn’t understand why she had to attend this stupid school. My parents worry too much. “Anger issues” and “lashing out…” I’m only teaching people their place! She crossed her arms. I’ve only thrown people into ditches, like… twice? I think. It isn’t that big a deal.
She leaned back very casually, swinging one arm over the back of her chair. Whatever. Might as well get this over with… wonder who I’ll get stuck with this year. She scoffs. Hopefully they’ll just leave me alone.
She looks around at the other students. She tries to look as intimidating as possible, in hopes of nobody approaching her, or even worse, talking to her. God, people seemed to love trying to make her “come out of her shell.” It was stupid, in her opinion. Being alone was what she liked, and besides, don’t they want her not to commit assault?
