Andrei glanced up at Inima, watching her fidget with the collar round her neck. "You okay, 'Nima?"
Andrei glanced up at Inima, watching her fidget with the collar round her neck. "You okay, 'Nima?"
"Yeah," Inima nodded, "I just don't like this stupid thing."
Andrei pursed his lips. "Yeah, it looks like it chafes like crazy. You can't take it off, can you? You'd have done it already."
"Nope," Inima shook her head.
Murdock looked up, fiddling absently with the metal band on his own neck. His was optional, and acted partially as a booster for his quirk. He frowned. Having something uncomfortable like that must really be a pain
"Ok good," She missed the other start talking she was focusing on the wounded girl. "I just wanted to make sure because if it's not dressed changing the bandages would just reopen the wounds." Yuuka looks up from the bandages at Andrei, " I did not mean to imply that you didn't know what you were doing. Sorry if it came off like that."
"Whatever you say," he replied to Yuuka, smiling in what he hoped came across as a conciliatory manner. Heaven knew he of all people couldn't be offended at any verbal missteps. "I actually don't know a lot about a lot, so it was luck that I could help here. First aid facts and Clint Eastwood trivia, that's all I've got in my head."
"I've got painkillers in my pocket if you want some," Murdock offered, reaching into his pocket to pull out a small ziplock with a few tylenol in it
His brows slanted as he tried to puzzle out the collar. Was it augmentative, inhibitory? Either way, he'd go insane having to wear it. "I might have a spare bandana in my bag. It's not silver or anything, so it'll throw off your aesthetic, but you can tuck it between the collar and your skin so it doesn't chafe so much."
"That would be nice," Inima tells Andrei
Tsuki was stunned at how much they all seemed to care. She considered the boy's question and tried to answer in a not confusing way. "My bones come out of my body. They can poke through or I can pull one out to use as a weapon. They regenerate, but the rest of my body doesn't fare as well."
Murdock smiled. "That's really cool. It sounds painful. But it's really cool."
"Yeah, it is cool. At least when you're not me." she made a face and finished wrapping her stomach. Other bandages covered parts of her skin, suggesting that this was a daily occurrence. "
"Yeah," Murdock said, looking at her injuries. "Having a cool quirk doesn't mean it won't always be painful."
"What's your quirk?" Tsuki asked, holding onto the wall to get into a standing position.
“It’s kind of complicated. But basically I can power electronics and people, more or less,” he said, fiddling with his goggles
"Cool. What was it like when you first used your power? I know that when I discovered I could pop my bones out, I ended up in the hospital because of how much it hurt. I'm tougher now, so I don't go into the hospital as often." she brushed her bangs away, giving the boy a tight-lipped smile. "It took a lot of training to get to this point."
Tsuki concentrated on her hand, making the small tip of a bone poke out from the top of her pointer finger.
“Well, it wasn’t exactly something I noticed. I thought I was quirkiness until I got a phone. One day I realized the battery hadn’t gone down, and then I found I could do stuff like power cars, or give people boosts in energy.”
"Sounds nice." Tsuki made the bone retreat back into her system and started applying ointment on the small hole. It was small, so it didn't hurt as much.
Murdock frowned a little. “Not really. A lot of people made me boost them for sports and stuff. My old family even used me to power the house instead of paying the bills.”
"I…don't know what to say? I hope your new family treats you better." she nodded at him, putting a small bandage on the hole.
Murdock nodded. “Yeah. It’s a lot nicer where I live now. I get to make all kinds of machinery, and I don’t get yelled at when the fridge stops working.”
"What kinds of machinery do you make?" Tsuki asked, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear.
