Tasper teleported to the top of a building. He was exhausted. He'd never teleported this many times in such a short time span. It hurt, but in a good way, like when you strain a muscle or when you get out of breath from a long run. He counted. He'd destroyed eight or nine robots. He wasn't sure if that would be enough, but he'd given it a good effort.
Lata turned and heard a loud rumble. Turning, she saw it. The 0 pointer a few blocks away, taller than the buildings themselves. She rounded the corner, keeping an eye out for anyone who would likely need saving from this thing.
Tasper spotted the 0 pointer from his vantage point. It was huge and menacing. He knew he could probably take it down if someone distracted it, but he decided against it. He stayed on the lookout for people he could rescue.
Tsuchiya was parched, so she grabbed a few of the vials filled with water and drank them. A ginormous robot entered the mock city and rubble flew everywhere. Tsuchiya was able to dodge most of the debris, but a chunk hit her shoulder. She tried to move it, but found she couldn't use her left arm anymore. She turned and bolted the other way, chucking a vial of water at a stray robot, but never stopping.
Lata took this opportunity and ran for the girl, her arm wounded.
She summoned illusions to keep the robot off their backs.
Someone save here, Ima saw a girl get hurt. She knew that no one would die during the test, but didn't ease her nerves.
Tasper teleported to a lower building, then to a porch, then to the ground. The momentum carried him towards the two girls running from the robots. "Need help?" he offered.
Lata summoned a false explosion, the smoke blocking the two from view.
"Come on, this way," she urged the injured girl.
She glared at the boy from earlier. Lata was not giving up these rescue points. "I'll pass."
Ima released the breath she didn't know she was holding. They were going to be okay.
Tsuchiya nodded, "Thanks," Tsuchiya followed the girl. She noticed a piece of building was flying straight towards them. She shoved the girl onto the ground and fell to the ground herself, just narrowly dodging the debris.
Tasper rolled his eyes. He'd wanted those points. He kind of felt guilty that his motivation for saving someone was just for the points gained. It left a bad taste in his mouth. He teleported a short distance away.
Lata fell with a grunt as the pieces of concrete exploded around them. Getting back up, she grabbed the other girl's arm, and led her to a safer area.
Tsychiya felt guilty for leaving Sasaki by himself, but it couldn't be helped. She was dragged by the girl to what seemed to be a safer area.
Ima pressed the button that ended the test, "And that's all folks return home. You will get your results in a few days."
Tsuchiya sighed in relief, "Hey, thanks for that," she said to the girl.
Tasper sighed. He hadn't rescued anyone. He'd killed a lot of robots, but rescue wasn't his primary concern. He had a sinking feeling that's just the type of person –type of hero he'd be.
Lata gave a nod in response. "Not a problem, um…" she trailed off, having no idea what this girl's name was.
(Sorry @writelikeyourerunningoutoftime , my character is meant to be stubborn as hell XDDD)
"Oh, Tsuchiya Kura," she held out a hand, "And you are?
"Lata Aylen," she responded taking the hand and shaking it.
(lol that's okay I love it!!)
Tasper headed out of the city, brushing off his filthy clothes. In a way, it'd been fun, even if he had been absolutely terrified. He spotted those two girls again and smiled their way. Now that they weren't competing, he didn't hold anything against them.
"Nice to meet you, Aylen," Tsychiya said, "I hope we get into U.A. together," she smiled, "Now, I should probably go get this healed," Tsuchiya pointed at her now useless left arm, "I'll see you around!"
Lata grinned. "And to you as well, Kura."
This girl seemed nice enough. She sound herself genuinely wanting to talk to her again.
As Tsuchiya started to walk back to get her arm healed by Recovery Girl, she saw the other guy who had tried to help her and gave him a friendly wave and smile with her good arm.
