Averill groggily finished his cereal and placed the bowl in the sink. Today wasn't supposed to be any different from normal. Just school, and after school he would be meeting up with everyone in the band. Sure, that didn't happen everyday, but it wasn't an anomaly when it did.
"Dorian! I'm leaving for school! You're gonna be late if you're not already ready!" He called. There was no response. He walked over to his sister's door to see a note saying she had left for school early. Averill sighed.
He grabbed his key to the apartment and headed out the door on the way to school. It was only a few blocks away, so he could walk there every morning. It was supposed to be a normal day.
Jazz music floated through the speakers of the car Reese and her mother drove in. She remained silent, watching the blur of city outside. Her mother was speaking but she was hardly listening.
"… you didn't eat dinner last night and you refused breakfast this more, that leads me to believe that you have a problem that you won't convey to me. Reese, darling are you listening to me?" Her mother pulled their car into the school parking lot. She put it in park and looked to Reese. Only then did Reese turn to her. Her mother smiled a pretty smile, a smile that made so many people lay their lives at her feet and cry their eyes out. It made Reese sick to her stomach.
Among other things today.
She sighed and opened the door. "I have gymnastics after school, then I'm going to Tay's for homework. I may spend the night." She told her mother, just a reminder since she told her last night as well. It's not like she care much. Her mother just nodded.
"Yes, of course dear." Silently, she looked her over. "You look… decent today. Just remember…" she pointed a finger at Reese.
She blinked as her mother waited with expectations. She stepped out of the car and slung her book-bag over her shoulder, raising a brow. Reese was not taking the bait today.
Her mother frowned. "Confidence is key. But humbleness makes a cherry for the cake-" Reese shut the door. She already had a headache, she could do without her mother's crude words. Looking to the double doors of the high school, she straightened her back and continued into the building. Her mind was already on the plans she had for the night.
Jax shrugged on his bag, walking out the door to start on his walk to school. Gosh, I hate walking to school. But I guess it's better than going on the bus. He thought, plugging in his earbuds so he could listen to music.
(yeeey I'm the first villain)
Ali sat at her desk, muttering the formula to herself. It shouldn't be hard, really. Frustrated, she pushed her chair away from her desk and zapped the radio, closing her eyes and leaning back in her chair.
(Oof. Sorry I took so long. I didn't mean to write such a long starter but I don't write Ben much.)
Ben woke up, half asleep as he reached for his phone. He took moment staring at the time before it finally clicked it was a school day. "Shoot! I'm gonna be late!" He exclaimed. He had worked late to fix the car last night and guessed he'd fallen asleep at some point, and he didn't know were he put his satchel. "At least we didn't need to pay someone to come replace the actuator." He grumbled, pushing aside some tools and picking up his satchel when he finally spotted it hanging of the edge of his table.
He was off to the kitchen as fast as possible, pausing in front of a mirror to straighten out his appearance, and started opening up cupboards. Usually he had something quick to grab since half his mornings were like this, but he groaned not finding anything.
"Yeah, I ate the last of your breakfast tart things." A voice sounded behind him. "You know, your name is meant to mean care provided to all. You don't really live up to that, Aayon." Ben remarked, turning to face his older brother who sat at the table. "Oh really? If it was expectations that our names give us they expect nothing from you." The brown haired male teased. He didn't need to deal with this, so instead Ben put some bread in the toaster and pick up the newspaper. His brother gave a small complaining sound as the stack of papers was thrown at him. "If you're going to eat everyone's food you can find a job and buy it." He scolded. If he could work as a part-time mechanic and make some money Aayon could find a full-time job and help out.
He shoved his homework in his satchel and made sure he wasn't carrying anything that would get him in trouble, like a lighter or repair tools, and grabbed his toast as it popped up. "Bye! Heading for school!" He called, shutting the door behind him. He jumped on his bike, haphazardly putting the lock in his bag as he peddled, going along the quickest route to school.
(@altogether_quite_impossible_to_describe can Nykidia and Night just walked in and start annoying Ali?)
(Sure!)
(Thanks!)
Nykidia walked in and looked around at Ali's stuff. She walked over to Ali and leaned her head on her. "What are you doing now?" She asked.
Ali rolled her eyes and zapped the radio off. "Nothing interesting to you, Nykydia, don't you worry."
"I'm getting bored." She said as she flopped onto the floor. "Have anything on the (Insert hero name) yet?"
(Should we come up with a name for a superhero?)
(Yeah probably. I'd say DOCTOR MYSTERIO
but that's just a suggestion)
(That kinda sounds like a villain name.)
(Lol. I think Docter Mysterio sounding like a villain makes the fact they're a superhero even better. XD)
(kinda I guess. Blame Peter Capaldi.)
Lovino skids into the school parking lot tripping and doing a front flip sticking the landing than running to his class "am I late- shit," he says running into Resse "oh hi Resse," he says pulling some of his hair behind his ear her forgot his ribbon back home just his luck.
it ok if he runs into Resse?))
Sorry I was gone for four hours. I was doing important things like taking a nap.))
(lol, no need to apologize if it's your RP. Also, I was wondering who's in school. Who isn't. As well as where/when characters will be able to interact.)
Averill arrived at the school and saw a few people milling around the parking lot. He checked the time on his phone, revealing he still had a few minutes. He entered the school and started heading to his first period, just because he liked being there first. On his way he saw Lovino next to some girl Averill recognized, but didn't know the name of.
"Hey Lovino!" He called to the shorter boy.
Lovinos looked up “hay!” He waves at the boy than walks over saying bye to Resse “what up?” He ask
Averill made a deadpan face.
"The sky." He replied. Then his face turned joyous again. "Kidding. You remember band practice after school, right? I don't want you forgetting."
Lovino nods “I kinda remember but I forgot to take some of my meds.” He sighs “woke up late forget my ribbon to tie my hair back and could only take half of my meds….” his voice trails off before he looks up at him “sweet all I need is my bass from home than I’ll come back!” He chirps complete 180 from his mood before
Ben muttered curses to himself as he jumped off his bike and rolled it to the racks, digging through his bag and fumbling with his lock before clicking it in place. He didn't waste much time with it before dashing off to the school doors, slowing down some once inside. I'm going to be late. He thought. He noticed the others, it was nice seeing them since they had a band, but he couldn't stop for long. He didn't want another night of working late to get him in trouble, especially since this was his last year. "Hey guys, having fun chatting?" He was a bit tired but tried to not let that be obvious, sending a smile at the others. "Don't let it make you late. We don't want anyone at detention when we have band practice."
Lovino nods “ya my classes don’t start for like 30 minutes because we have a sub for first and she doesn’t care weather we’re late or not,” he shrugs.
Averill checked the time again. "Shit, you're right. Sorry, gotta go. See you two at lunch or after school."He rushed off to his first period: math. So much for being there first. A few students were already in the classroom. The first bell hadn't rung yet, but Averill still didn't like to be at the classroom after people.
