"Well, I don't know about you guys, but phones don't really tend to work underwater," Delta said dryly. "We use conch shells instead… do you want me to find you guys some?"

"No thank you, my phone is anything-proof." Avery says, putting his phone away and pushing his glasses up his nose.

“Okay,” Max agreed, setting his phone the table. He thought having a conch shell sounded pretty cool.

"i'll take a conch! It sounds like a really cool thing to have!" Griff glanced at Alistrov, waiting for her answer. After a few brief moments, Alistrov sighed. "I suppose it is better than giving out my number, plus i could make it look like an interesting accessory……sure, i'll take vone." Alistrov smiled at Delta

"Meet me at this exact table tomorrow at 9 am… I'll give you three some. I'm pretty sure that I can wrestle one more favor out of Kaito," Delta said confidently, taking a couple steps back. She ran forward and dove into the lazy river, giving a wave goodbye. A streak of bright pink swimming faster and faster away from the cafe and her spilled latte were the only signs that she was ever there.
(this cafe is thirty minutes away from the sea, and the owners are freshwater faeries, so a lot of water faeries come here and use the river winding among the tables to get back to the ocean or their respective lakes quickly. the mermaids [sunlight zone sea faeries] don't normally come here because they're huge snobs, but if they do, they sit on these steps that are placed underwater [like pool steps] and eat food on trays that are placed on the floor.)

Max watched her go. "Well, this is exciting," he said to the remaining people at the table. "Though I would like to know all of you guys better."

Griff leaned back in his chair once more, making sure his sister wasnt going to tip him again. "My name is Griff, im an aquarius, and i like long valks on the beach." A shit-eating grin spread across his face as Alistrov groaned in frustration and rolled her eyes. "Ignore him. Hes a smartass. In short, both of us are hippogriffs, tventy years old. Theres really not much more to us." Alistrov crossed her legs, getting more comfortable with Max and Avery. "In short, id say ve are quite boring. Nothing spectacular." Griff almost looked insulted by his sisters explaination. "Speak for yourself! Id like to say im a riot and super interesting!" Griff laughed out loud

Max’s mouth quirked into a smile. “I’m Max Jacobs, and I’m seventeen,” he said. Almost eighteen though, he added mentally, feeling that if he said that aloud he would definitely sound like a little kid just waiting for his birthday or something dumb like that. “If anyone’s boring, it’s me. The most exciting thing I do is play the drums.”

"The drums are nice, my friend plays." Avery said, setting down his mug and pulling his hoodie more over his face.

“Yeah? That’s legit!” Max exclaimed. “What about you, Avery? What do you like to do?”

"I write lyrics for my brother and his band, I also have a degree in forensic pathology." Avery said.

“Cooool,” Max said. “I’ve always wanted to be in a band.” He idly traced circles on the counter with his fingers, his coffee gone by now.

"Only seventeen? Aw. Youre just a baby." Alistrov smiled "im kidding. But judging by mr. Halloveen over there, youre the youngest in the group." Noticing the empty cups, Griff reached for them. "Neither of us are musically inclined. The thing we do best is fight. Vhat did you have? Ill go get more if you vant."

Max flushed, embarrassed. “I’m not that young,” he muttered. He looked to Griff with gratitude. “Oh, thanks. I had, Uh, a caramel macchiato.”

She gently nudged Max with her elbow "I'm just teasing you. i'd much rather be 17 again…" Alistrov sighed as she closed her icy blue eyes in thought "i vas much more popular back then, now im turning into an old lady, hardly anyvone vants to contract me anymore. But at least now its easier for me to fake my age to get into bars" She smiled slightly before handing her card to Griff, indicating that she's going to pay for the drinks.
Griff gladly accepted her card and turned to Avery "So! mr. Grim Reaper, did you vant anything? coffee? tea? food? Alistrovs treat hehe!" Griff smiled brightly to Avery

"No thank you, I need to go in a bit."

(thanks! before I post my character though: I might not be on as often as you guys, and I won't be on at all on Wednesdays and some other days. Is that okay? It's fine if you say it's not, don't worry, I don't want to drag this rp)
