Everyone who lives anywhere near Nova City has heard of the infamous Kate Raikov, and now you are sitting in a strange room with her at the head of a table like you’re in a board meeting with one of the most wanted criminals in the country. She tells you that she wants you to join her in a top secret mission and that she will reward you handsomely. Of course, you’re probably also a criminal, or at least not the most upstanding citizen, or you wouldn’t be here. The only question is: are you going to help Kate save the world (for the money, of course) or walk out on this once in a lifetime opportunity? The choice is yours.

In this world, magic and technology intertwine in a modern, fantastical country called Ninkovia, of which Nova City is the capital.
There are six classes of magic users:
Elemental
These are people who can control an element (fire, air, water, earth, light, darkness). They can both create it from nothing and manipulate the existing element. Elementals are usually viewed as turbulent and unpredictable. They are also seen to be fairly basic.
Animga
These people have abilities relating to the mind, such as mind reading, empathy, pyschometry (seeing the past of objects), etc. They are usually viewed as distrustful and scheming. Of the classes of magic wielders, they are generally seen as the worst and most backstabbing.
Corporis
Corporis, or the plural, corpori, are those whole control bodies. This class includes both healers and those who can tear people apart with only their minds. This one has two connotations depending on the exact power. Healers are greatly valued and respected and seen as helpful and selfless. However, those who tear people apart are seen as terrifying and dangerous, almost as bad as animgas. Both their abilities and animgas’ abilities can also be used on animals.
Seer
These people can see the future, past, or present in short bursts. This category has the least different kinds of abilities, along with technologi. Seers are seen as smart and knowledgeable, almost on par with healers.
Technologi
These people can control technology, such as technopaths. They are seen as smart, but boring or even weak.
Shifter
Shifters are…you guessed it, shape shifters. They have one specific animal they can transform into at will. They are seen as unstable, but also vain.
