“ could you two stop fighting!” Hiro yelled, the ground beneath them shook warningly, a crack shot through malcolms floor. ( hey ain’t got my stuff, can’t tell when I’ll be on next, so wait for me please! You can use hiro if you need too. I should be on in a couple weeks.)
William grunted and once again, lied back down, looking away from Malcolm.
(okay, sorry)
(Thumbs-up)
( @maximus-pinpoint, do you want to continue a little bit more, or pause here?)
Malcolm scowled at the two, then noticed that in some of the deepest parts of the crack one could see the lower floor. He grimaced at that.
(continue, I think)
William looked at the cracks, then at Malcolm. "Is that… the basement?"
(unsure shrug. We can pause whenever. I’m flexible)
Malcolm glanced at William, then back at the floor.
“Yeah. That’s looking down into where our bedrooms are at. That… is not good. And… well, I’m not quite sure how to fix it at the moment.”
For the first time in many years, Malcolm was genuinely stunned.
Hiro sighed and sat up. He touched his hands to the floor and fixed his mistakes, though some smaller cracks were left as a reminder not to anger him. “ I’m going for a walk…”
Malcolm didn’t say anything as Hiro left. He simply stared, speechless by how powerful the kid was. To mend a huge crack in the floor of a building was something Malcolm had never seen nor expected.
He grabbed a miniaturized chair, tapping it so it’d grow to full size, and dropping it next to him. He sat down, not even caring that there were now two chairs in the shop. At that moment, he kept wondering why all he wanted to do was find Hiro and apologize.
Hiro, an annoying kid with an interesting back… but a kid who nonetheless could not have lived without the old nanobot designs of Malcolm himself. Was he still nothing more than an experiment to Malcolm? He did not know.
Hiro walked the streets, brining back and metal he could find. He thought to himself, earth and fire were his natural elements, but anything along the line of light dark or water was harder then ever to master.
(I'll still be off and on untill like three days, aka Monday)
(I’m willing to continue)
Malcolm sat for several minutes, brooding. Finally, he sighed and stood, heading for the door. He grabbed the handle and turned, but paused, questioning why he was about to chase after a moody kid.
He growled in frustration and turned away from the door, heading downstairs into his laboratory to clear his head. Unfortunately, it only made his turmoil worse.
(I’m half-asleep right now, so I’ll probably be getting off here in a few)
William sat up, and looked at the door where Malcolm exited. He turned to the front door. I can try to understand Hiro… He looked back inside. Or Malcolm. He sighed and walked out of the house, silently following Hiro's path.
Hiro was sitting at the top of a fallen building, he was toying around with one of the lesser mutes
Ruthie was wandering around today, luckily she didn’t have anything important to do today. As she was walking, she spotted a figure sitting atop of a fallen building. Curious, she walked closer before stopping and shouting at them, “heyo!”
Hiro flinched, defenses coming up almost immediately. He threw a couple big rocks at her and held onto a sharp knife like rock
Ruthie stepped out of the rock’s way, with only one hitting her. “H-hey, what was that for?”, she said, now a bit annoyed. She should probably leave them alone, but they were the only living person they’ve seen in months.
Malcolm reluctantly left his laboratory and noticed that William was gone. A breif smile crossed his face, but Hiro still lingered in his mind.
With a growl of frustration, Malcolm beckoned to the spider robot to follow him and left the building. He looked around cautiously, then headed away, hoping to find the kid quickly.
The AI went inside, still keeping watch but in a more subtle fashion. The other robots did likewise.
Hiros distress was strong, his trust in any random mute was little to none. " Give me one reason I shouldn't cut your air ways open. "
William walked into the square but quickly ducked back upon seeing Ruthie and Hiro. He heard, "…cut your airways open." And raised his eyebrows. Who was this lady? He quickly tried calming Hiro down, and hoped Ruthie didn't react. Altering two people is hard.
